Title: 12th Century Ireland
Post by: Terry Griffith on May 18, 2008, 10:17:38 PM
Don't know exactly where to ask this so I'll start here.  We are involved in a Samhain Celebration that requires garb.  The lady running the event wants to present Irish people of the 12th Century in period garb.  I'm striking out trying to find anything but very simple robes and burlap type wraps and bare feet.  I'm hoping there is something else but I think Ireland was very poor in the 12th Century and didn't have things like the dublets that I'm used to for renaissance.

Does anybody have drawings (I almost said photos) from that period showing men and women's garb?
