Title: The new garb by Lady Kathleen
Post by: Capt Gabriela Fullpepper on June 11, 2009, 03:18:53 PM
So here are the photos of the new garb made by the wonderful and talented Lady Kathleen. Her work is inspiring yet makes me not even want to attempt it as I could never do anything as great as these outfits.

Taken after work yesterday as we just got them back from her from doing some minor adjustments. The weather was not good and rainy, and humid for Colorado. I had messy hair and no make-up on (Toki seems to love to take pictures of me when I don't look good and my hair is all limp. And he always wants me to smile the way that is not natural for me (cheesy laughing grin) HUMPH men.

So anyway. Here is Toki's new doublet, pants and hat.

And my new dress with my old tall hat which I will replace with a black one and latter a green one made by Lady Kathleen

And without the doublet on

There are close to 2000 hand sewn pearls on this dress. The sleeves on both the dress and the doublet are detachable and can be swapped onto the other outfit if so desired.

This should keep me warm at the Colorado faire opening day. Temps have been in the low 60's to low 70's for two weeks with rain showers every day. Snow in higher elevations. We are not used to this weather and Colorado is looking very green right now.

I'm just drooling onto my keyboard.  Man, I wish I could sew something more complicated than a T-tunic and and pantaloons.
I'm envious, I wish I could see these outfits in person.

Beautiful.  Inspiring.

Rats!  I'm trying to reprogram my head for a Regency flavoured customer, and this is giving me more Tudor ideas!
