I'm looking for a men's shirt something with a lace collar and cuffs,
preferably breathable, any ideas?
Also has anyone ever found a merchant selling the shirt Wesley
wears in "The Princess Bride", with the, I guess its, gusseted shoulders?
thank you for your time

17th rather than 18th C. OK, I'll see what I can find, but yes, getting them made might be easier.
Simplicity or McCalls has a pattern for those. I actually own that one.
Those collars and cuffs aren't part of the shirt; they're accessories that would have been pinned/basted on separately.
The Very Merry Seamstress sells the collars here (http://www.verymerryseamstress.com/shirt.htm#cavalier). I'm positive she also sells cuffs, but I can't figure out where on her website to find them.
You may be able to find somebody who carries a shirt with the collars/cuffs attached; try Googling "Cavalier shirt."

The shirt he means, I believe, is the black one with the smocking/rows of gathers on the shoulders. I love that shirt and would like to find one for my DH as well.
So there were two shirts, the first with the cuffs and collar
Lady Renee pointed me to Lady Kathleen who I am commissioning
to make, she does awesome work, I'll post some pics later this
summer when I get it.
The second, yes, was the black one from the movie, it's a beautiful
shirt, but I've never seen it anywhere, so I was curious if anyone
else had seen it anywhere.
