I hate to start an entirely new thread for a little question, but I could not find the answer elsewhere.
Are these Jacquard fabrics (the solid, floral, canon, paisley, elegance, diamond, and Conrad233) totally out of period, or would they be fine for say, a corset or bodice to ware to the faire?

Please forgive me for my little new-to-Renaissance-garbing question. :-\
Those are *gorgeous!* I've never heard of that site--are they good?
I would wear almost any one of those as a bodice, and many of them would work for a more historically accurate project, as well (depending on the piece/era/region/etc). One thing you want to look out for, of course, is the synthetic content, as too much can be too warm and/or have a weird plastic shine to it in direct sunlight. If you're concerned, order a swatch.
Thank you for your help!
They are gorgeous indeed, but I wasn't sure if they were period appropriate. I've not ordered from them. I got the link from www.damseldress.com (http://www.damseldress.com) and she uses them for her bodices (and she makes amazing bodices!).
It is a fairly good site. Sometimes they have time delays in shipping... you just have to keep on them to get the information. Like Gem said, watch the fabric content, and get the highest natural fiber that you can... just to be comfortable. If you are looking for close to HA then (on that page of pictures, and what you named) I would stay away from the paisley and elegance. Otherwise, go for what you like!
