So I took almost 300 photos yesterday (not my normal 700 per day last year, guess I'm slipping). I'll be posting a little over 100. I am currently working them into my website and since I have to do my own HTML instead of dumping them onto a photo server such as PBASE.com (have to pay for it as it is a great site) I should have them up by mid week. I had to make a change to my site that slowed getting them uploaded but never fear, they will be coming soon.
I might add yesterday's lighting was a bit odd but I still got some nice shots.
Can't wait to see them!
Gentleman Privateer....aka, the unknown lord. :)
If anyone is interested, all of my photos are on
www.myspace.com/rose_and_beast
and
www.facebook.com/e.mowle
I didn't want to release these before 'opening day,' so to speak, but there's around 150 of the character and rehearsal shots I took during Dress Rehearsal weekend up for anyone to see at:
http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff249/msinabottle/CRF2009/ (http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff249/msinabottle/CRF2009/)
As previously, those pictures and my shots from past years are up for anyone to print or save as they'd like. It was lovely seeing old friendly faces again, I hope you all were as pleased to meet me.

So I was remiss in my backstage photo duty this weekend, everything was too overwhelming and I just forgot I had my camera in my basket! I took a couple but next weekend I'll take a lot more I promise! Can't wait to see the pictures everyone else took though! :D
Professor, you got a fabulous shot of me on rehearsal weekend, thank you so much for sharing!
Well i really didn't do much picture taking this weekend, the problem with hanging out with a bunch of people. But i did get some.

Those are some fun photos of us, thanks! I love when I see photos taken during the songs we act out, they're always so awkward! ::)
Thats why i always shot on continous mode cause i could snap 10 in 3 seconds and in that time i get some really funny ones with one perfect gem. Of course you ladies are all perfect gems.

Like I said Capn, the BEST photos come from Mother, I Will Have a Husband (where we wail on each other) and Mmm Plucka. Hands down every time. Doesn't mean they aren't weird, but they are the best. :)
So, anybody got more?
Yes... and Ummm no.
I have some up on my site but not all of them. You can see thumbnails of some and full sizes of others
If you want a quick look go to www.delaneyalysa.com (http://www.delaneyalysa.com) I hope to have them all up tonight but we shall see how tired and strained my eye's are
So a littlr oer 100 photos I took on Saturday are now up. All I have to say is WOW I hate doing HTML coding. It's time to look into www.pbase (actually I have a free 30 day account) For me to push to that site I will have to shrink down photo's and then upload them otherwise wait all week to try and up load 100 3GB files which will take forever even on high speed.
So if your interested the photos are at http://www.delaneyalysa.com (http://www.delaneyalysa.com) just go to Subjects then events and then Colorado Renaissance Festival 2009 Week 1.
Enjoy and feedback is always welcome
I personally thought the lighting was weird on Saturday, but then again that is just me.
beautiful photos, one and all. I can't wait to see what comes up next weekend.
beautiful as always LD :) You are truly talented.
I will be there this sunday with my magic box with the trapped Mega pixies in it. I will be traveling more around this time and try and get my candid shots i like of people and more of the shows as well. Feel free to grab me if you want me to take your pic. At this moment havn't decided if i plan to be my pirate or just me. Oh and yes ladies of renbarbie i will get more of your group. If you roam around more on my picasa site you will see last years where i also picked up a few of you ladies.
Francisco Paula, Portuguese Pirate for hire, I do windows.
I saw the photos and they are superb, Lady DeLaney.
You capture a certain essence of your subject and surroundings that make each photo appear like it's a live painting. Huzzah!!!
Thank you Lady Remi and Lady Kathleen for the compliments.
And yes they are a sort of live painting. My 8.1 mega Pixies do an outstanding job of using their magic... ummm science to try and capture what I show them. It's really all their talent and not mine... really.
Technology is always a help, but you have a good eye for capturing the essence (sp?). Very nice pictures !! :)
Went on fathers day and took a few pics. Once again here is the good the bad and the ugly wait i didn't get a pic of me.

Well enjoy this might be my last visit this season.
OK So I now have all the photos I want to post (yeah a few to many but what the heck as I cannot choose) on the web... well not on my typical site but on my new pbase site. My site is under construction to get a smaller... yeah MUCH smaller sample of what i took. Since the HTML for it takes a long time to do and I don't want to take all year before I post the photos I took, i opened a pbase site which I have felt is a nice site and many professional photographers use it. So with out further blabbering on my part... here is the link and some of my favorites. As always feedback is always welcome

UMMM Try again as I see them... OR go to the pbase site
These are quite lovely, thank you. It's interesting and useful to see what I look like working Faire, for that matter.

Weird... I tried another PC and it does what you see... Red X's. BUT if you right click on what the photo should be and go to properties you can see the link. Copy the link past it in your url and go there then go back to the forum and that photo shows up. Not sure what the deal is in causing this. most likly it's the size of the photo and the system is not refreshing right.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! All of those pictures!!! you are such an awesome artist. well done. :D
Great pix Delaney! Love them! The pix of Mattrim in his monk garb are hilarious!
very very nicely done. ( i had chased the link, but failed to realize there was a gallery link. idiot moment. ::) duh. ) we'll need to try again with the wee one. may we steal ? please?
You may use but please give credit where do. OH and a good word to Jim Paradise would also be nice :)
And I'd be MORE than happy to let my Mega Pixies try and capture you and the wee one's likeness. Maybe this Saturday per chance?
OH and thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback and enjoy that you all enjoy what my Mega Pixies do.
Those are GREAT Delaney! Did you do anything aside from take photos? ;D There's only like a million of them after all!
Delaney,
Please come by sometime to take my picture,
You take beautiful ones :]
I promise I'll be there.
Hi Renaissance Barbie and PrincessAlice
Thank you both.
Yes I wander around alot, watch people, shop, eat the food and fresh squeezed lemonade, talk to people, talk to more people about my garb, watch a few shows (while taking photos of course), sit and relax and take a few more photos... Well OK so it does seem I take a lot. 990 on Saturday to be exact. As you can see many are of the same subject just different angles, positioning, zooms, etc. All in all even with all the photos, I have a ton of fun and do a ton of people watching... but then that adds up to more photos. In most cases a good photographer takes 2 good photos out of every 24 (well in the old days of film, but that still holds true even with digital. There are a few in this batch I REALLY love, and then I'm not so happy with. My all time favorite was taken last year of Leah (French Princess) in front of the English fflag. It's one I think (and so do a few others) would make a great Magzine cover.
I'd be more than happy to take photos of either of you. Alice I can find unless the Renn Flu has her (Toki and I stopped twice Saturday ut you were gone :( ) I HOPE to have on my burgandy Katherine Parr dress and French Hood on this weekend weather and heat permiting (not above 90)
Thank you both
OH and I was really on a mission from JP Jr as he let me in free to do photo work. Now to just convince him to use some of them. So that's the reason for so many and so many posted on the pbase site. Give him a greater look of what he may want.
Wonderous photos Lady deLaney! I will certainly be using some in my scrapbook, with due credit of course! =)
I think my camera is officially dying ... or dead ... it didn't like focusing over the past two weekends.
Delaney,
I'm feeling better already,
Sorry that I missed you!
I will be there this weekend.
Thanks Delaney, I may just have to take you up on that! :) Our sets tend to vary in place and time depending on the powers that be but if you snag me at gate and say hi I could let you know where we'll be.
Lovely photos, Delaney. And yes, yours truly now has a photo. :)
GP
For some unknown reason pbase doesn't like allowing photos to be reused in threads and shows red X's. The best thing to do would be to save said file on your PC then upload it to some other site like myspace or face book or what ever then use that thread an example is the current photo link thread is http://www.pbase.com/delaneyalysa/image/114170210 instead you would want to say use www.myspace.com\thegentlemanprivateer\114170210 or what ever that link name is in myspace or what ever site you use.
Hope that helps
there are a few people with the little red x problem. which bums me out cuz I like avatars. Remi, you have it too.
photo bucket links seem to work well.
and I also recommend:
cropping it so it's a square image instead of 4:3 ratio, so you don't end up stretched or squished.
cropping it so you aren't just a vague figure among the background (Demetrius)
There we go. Just happens that I had a myspace setup. :)

The pictures are great, and your faire looks wonderful! I would sure like to visit there someday. Lucky people, you are!
Have a great time this season. ;D
So the best of the best have been uploaded to my Picasa page from the third weekend ... some different, some the same will be going up on coloradosprings.com in the near future as well (evidently faire photos are a hit). And some from the first two weekends are also posted ... I was too sheepish to mention it earlier, my photos are not as great as the others' ... enjoy!
http://picasaweb.google.com/blushingbiggins
So is anyone interested in Week 3 photos? Nope didn't think so. Guess I won't post them since no one is interested. Just interested in the Hamster invasion, Mouseketers, waterworld, and tails.
Let me know when you are ready and I'll post the link... then again many of you have it, just thought I'd offer to put it up if you all want. OH and there not on that site, there on that other site.
Chime in when ready for the link... or not.
OH and these I must warm you are not very good... honestly. I find it tough to drag around all that Katherine Parr dress with all that fur on my arms. Not to mention I had sun issues. The dang sun keep showing up when I didn't want it to.
err...I want to see them?
I already snuck over to the link, heehee....and I quite like them!
OK since PrincessAlice asked I will post :)

Glad you like Zoe
ALSO I did many rapid fire shots. I didn't post many of those as they were BORING (parade looks like a movie if you had all of them saved and viewed them one right after the other.) I did the joust that way and cropped many shots which I usually don't do much editing on. I just thought I would crop into the m eat of them and see what I had and I was surprised... I had a few cool shots of the joust.
Enjoy

I would be very grateful if one or another of you would get down to Front Gate/Parapet at PRECISELY 12:00, High Noon, where Chester Tumbledown, Serendipity, your VERY humble servant and Stephano's Troupe all do 'Clock.' I announce:
"DEAR FRIENDS! THE VILLAGE OF LARKSPURSHIRE IS TOO POOR TO AFFORD A MECHANICAL TOWN CLOCK. HOWEVER, WE HAVE ONE, ANYWAY. PRESENTING... 12 O'CLOCK!"
What happens next probably must be seen to be believed. Filmed would be nice.

I have heard of this. the unclock strikes 12 and they all turn into hamsters, each of their costumes turn into a dress of rags, and the parking lot shuttle turns into a pumpkin... later Charming comes along , kisses the hamsters, and everything goes back the way it was. Chester speaks of it often.

Next time you and Chester share a pizza...
GET IT WITHOUT THE MUSHROOMS!Best!
I will see what I can do. Try if you can remind me before it happens as I am not privy to a clock either... I am to poor even for a noble woman. But alas I do not turn into a Hamster, nor my dress into rags and Dashing does nothing to help me. And I avoid the pizza especially with fungas on it.
Okay i don't have much renfaire pics cause i havn't been going but i did take this week off work and took tons of pics. Been to the butterfly pavilion, cheyenne mountain zoo, 7 falls, and garden of the gods.

Born seperately........
rejoined together as Hamstern.
I believe the Hamsters have already had 1 group shot. The way they are growing (going) they will soon out number the humans and will be the only one with a group shot.
And who is the Hamster king?

Only if it's Saturday for Toki and I as we try to recoop on Sunday and clean faire garb... ACK being a noble is NOT an easy task
I did mean to put Saturday of closing weekend ... Sunday would be a squeeze for many, I think.
If i'm there and if you all want i will take said picture for you all.

OK, Bahookie... funny story 'behind' that. and I'm going to insist you ask Wilsome, cuz it's his story. "the Blue Scot vs The Kings Consort" he'll tell it. we were just laughin about it last week. after you hear it, you will make it part of your everyday speech pattern. if ye just can't wait, check the gaelic/english dictionary.... but still get the story.
Photo.... sure, love to... but.....I'm outside the gate singing with cast until someone starts chanting "inside the gate, inside the gate"... which usually happens at ABOUT 6:45-ISH.... cuz you never know. can I send Marley as my second if I'm stuck?
I should be able to make it around 6:45 on the Saturday of closing weekend, as long as the lines at the count room window are not too long.
So the photos are up, and I give you....The Adventures of Guillermo on a Rainy Day at Faire!
It's a slideshow, so just click and you're there!

I am astounded by the sort of adventures that Guillermo had at faire! He is one lucky hamster! I guess that like so many poets, musicians and adventurers, we can all say that he lived several lifetimes in just one rainy afternoon. He is the Hemingway of hamsters!! The Rodin of rodents!!
While not as exciting as Guillermo's adventures at the rainy day faire. I have week 4 posted. Just head over to the usual http://www.pbase.com/delaneyalysa (http://www.pbase.com/delaneyalysa)

I love the pictures of the rain that looks like snow. Very cool!
Huzzah! You caught the two newest Colorado nobles (recently moved from California). And many thanks for the shots of the musketeers and company hiding from the rain. And for the record, that particular overhand has several rather large gaps.
Shoulda come underneath my booth! :D

And stand in a puddle and soak the skirts... that's why Toki and I moved to the Dancing Bear. BEST place to be when it rains as it is way off the ground and covered.
But at least there's no leakage from above!
The hardest part of the rain for me is the standing still part. (it's the ADD) HATE being trapped, so I end up very frustrated and trying to keep the kid dry(ish)...... so I'm just givin that up. next time we're just getting wet and playing in puddles.
I hide with the Madrigals for a few and then started to adventure to the Pirates Pub and up to Court and then all over. Its nice have a leather frock coat, too bad Slugger took the loaner hat back due to me starting to wear it in.

And the identity of the lad: Mari Giddons' son ... John and Pinkie could not remember his name. But you may certainly ask them again this weekend, they shall be at faire as always.
ok... so who is Mari Giddons? Adam would like to chat with this lad.... ;)
Go to the source! John and Pinkie are fairly easy to find at faire after all ...
Faire photographer extraordinaire Nelson Chen is planning on visiting our fair shire this weekend. Huzzah! ;D
I just emailed with him; he's coming by tomorrow. So if you want an absolutely beautiful picture, watch out for him :]
Woohoo! That's great to hear. I adore his photography.

Then I shall wear a pretty hat.....
I got three awesome photos from him last year...one of my son!!
He took one of me last year that was so good my parents put it in the frame where my yearly school photos went, till I graduated high school...Step 1 in How To Know Ren Faire is Consuming Your Life ;)
OK I know a few of you have been peeking before I was done uploading the photos to my pbase site. Well now you don't have to peek, they are all uploaded from week 5.
OH and before any of you decide to Blackmail the Chancellor for power, you had best do it in a way I get my title of Duchess as it was I who got the dirt and I'll make sure the King and Queen know that and you'll be losing your head ;D
so you can either go to www.delaneyalysa.com (http://www.delaneyalysa.com) and follow the links to get to the pbase site OR just go to www.pbase.com/delaneyalysa (http://www.pbase.com/delaneyalysa)
Enjoy and feedback is once again always welcome

Thank you :)
Yeah I couldn't let the one of Nelson slip. We were both snapping photos of each other and I thought it fitting we get one of him. he's a wonderful man as I actually got to chat with him a bit. I'd love to have his camera rigs as well but not now, maybe someday when I am a rich photographer LOL
Any idea if he's coming back for another weekend? I'd love to butter him up by buying his ticket for him and then maybe he'll come to one of our shows. Hehehe. :D His work is always amazing!
Have no idea.
I know Princess Alice contacted him the last time through his email and maybe his website. Might want to check there.
He's hoping to attend closing weekend, if his schedule allows. But feel free to contact him through his Web site, I'm sure he'd love to hear from you!
I will do that, thanks! He takes such great shots for everyone here ever year that he deserves to have his ticket paid for occasionally (the photo editing alone must take an ice age!). Plus, we girls are suckers for photos, any photos. Lord knows we'll need more good ones for the band website we're going to be building. :D
So speaking of Mr. Chen, does anyone know when or where we can see the photos from this year? Are they already up and I just can't find them?
they don't seem to be up yet. here is his site. http://www.pbase.com/nelsonc/renaissance_festivals
Normally it takes AT LEAST a week. He has to edit all of them!

I hate waiting for his....they are always so classy. I want a photo from this season for the forums but I haven't found one I like enough yet of just me. The group shots are great but Mr. Chen did a couple of just me and I can't wait to see them! <3
That's were I take the old school approach... little to no editiong. if I edit, it's to crop or lighten, but I never use photoshop or other software like it to alter my photos in a drastic manner. I appluad those who do edit there photos as that is an art in itself, but my view is, did Ansel Adams ever photoshop his photo's or alter them beyond cropping or such? My feeling is that way to many photographers today rely upon software to make things look good. heck just look at the modeling and acting industry.
Once again I appluad guys like Nelson as they are talented, so please don't take this post wrong.
The other thing about photography is it is always best when someone doesn't stare into the lens and ham it up and get all fake. The best photos taken are usually acting natural. it drives me crazy when you point a camera in someones direction and they start posing. Not to say I don't do this either, I do and there are times when the pose is good and natural, but usually it's done when your told exactly how or where to look and pose
I agree with you on this delaney, only time i adjust in photoshop is if its to dark or to light and that is about it. When i came back from england on the plane flight i did adjust all the pics i took but damn even for light adjusting took a while. Back in san diego they have a photagraphy museum in balboa park and i like the older ones where people had to wait on the exact light and stuff it was an artform now just take it into photoshop and there you go.
I'm really bad about posing. Faire has made me really good about noticing when people are taking a picture of me. Helps in parade because I'll turn or adjust or whatnot, but it's bad otherwise as it's rare to catch me not posing. :D I'll try and be better when I see you again Delaney.
It's not easy RB, I only pose when people stop me. if I see them taking a photo while walking I try not to focus on the lens. But if someone wants me to stop... then It's hard not to pose. I guess the best advice I can say is just pretend they don't have a camera. Glance at them, then look someplace off to the left or right or past them.
on the subject of editing.......
IMHO, Edit software is useful & valuable for a number of reasons. first and foremost is to add your copyright mark. secondly, I really like the effect of blurring the backround, it makes your subject pop, draws attention to it, etc. additionally because sometimes your background is owned by someone else, like the faire, who would be within their legal rights to deny rights to a photographer to publish photos of something that they have copyright over. I have actually heard of that happening at other faires. and thirdly, I have seen many photos where I thought, "man, that would be a perfect shot, if not for that trashcan in the background, or that bag of nuts in that guys hand, or the stupid mundane with a pepsi cup walking through." I think that it requires alot of timing and patience to get a shot with not only the subject, but the background and foreground right, and I'm sure many shots have been missed by a photog waiting for some dumbarse to get out of the background... and the subject moved.
Yes i agree for some photos editing can do wonders when you are taking pics at a renfest and try and get the pepsi cup or stuff out of the pic. Or maybe where the reflextion of the person taking the photo needs to be removed. I do need to chat with delany and Radu about putting a copyright in my photos cause right now my only option is to go to my designer friends have a overlay made where i have to take each pic into photoshop to do it, plus i need to get photoshop on my main desktop computer right now.
Sigh so much to do and so lazy i am.
The tool I use many times is called uMark lite http://www.uconomix.com/Products/uMark/Default.aspx (http://www.uconomix.com/Products/uMark/Default.aspx). It's a free software and you can put a text or graphic watermark on photos. It's very easy to use but you can only do 25 photos or so at a time. I will admit I don't do it all the time, but i will if I know someone is looking to use specific photos for there money venturing sites i.e noble Cause productions.
I usually tell people that they can use my photos on facebook or myspace but only so long as they ask me first and it's a photo of them and not of their buddy. this is being abused so I will start watermarking everyting and it won't be at the edge anymore.
One reason I haven't been watermarking is most of my photos on the net have been shrunk WAY done. To make a photo print out of them your going to lose all of the quality for a good 8X10 or greater photo. I shoot at 8.1 mega pixies which will produce a photo of around 3000X2000 (there abouts) I do keep originals so if I were to sell them or someone needs use of them for print such as in add's, magazines or posters, they can be used at the higher quality for that.
Lastly I will add sometimes bluring the background can make a good photo but from feedback I have gotten from people is many people hate those photos over what is left in the background (not everyone but the people I have heard from). It gives them a since of environment of the subject. If need be I'll crop around a trash can, and always try to avoid someone holding their pepsi cup. Patients is what it takes and if I miss a shot because of it, Well it wasn't meant to be. I do have Photoshop and a few other editing softwares, but I'm no pro at their use. I'd more likely to take all month to edit one photo to my liking if I were a pro at their use. I wouldn't be happy with it 5 minutes after I thought it was perfect. And while I said before photo editing is an artform in it's own, I'm old school.
I can't be sure, Delaney, if you're upset with you for using your pictures, I've taken a few that aren't of me and are of Rachel because she doesn't get on here anymore, but I always say "Photo taken by Delaney Wade".
Don't buy disposable cameras- I bought one the first weekend, took lots of pictures, threw the camera away and haven't received a single picture yet.
Demetrius, your to funny.
No not upset. All I am saying is ask, email is an option since it is on my business card and on my web site. It's common curtsy to ask. I'm more than happy to have people use them as long as it's on Myspace, or face book, and they ask and give credit were do, 99% of the time I will say OK to it's use as long as it's not self promotion for money. Once again Noble Cause Productions. If someone wants to use them for that reason then spread the wealth you make from your job to mine.
I'd NEVER post a Nelsen Chen photo of myself on any website and especially do it with out asking his permission first and it's not because I don't like his work, I do, i love it and respect his art. I think I could say the same for Pirate Zoe's writing. I'd never post even 1 little line from it without her knowledge and permission first

I guess that's the musician in me, give credit were credit is due and ask first.
You must understand that how the copy write laws are that any picuter you take even if its you on vacation is copy writen to you and any use of it that is not granted is breaking the law. This also goes to the wonderful work Zoe writes. In the digital age of sharing stuff this is easy to forget but even if you go and scan in or copy a school picture you are breaking copy write laws. Also i know someone that had given a friend a picture she took so the friend can put it on myspace well the friend went and put it in a photo contest and it won but the person that took it wasn't given credit. Once again this is a big no no and some people don't understand this.
it should also be remembered..... that the subjects of the photos have legal rights too, especially if they are professional performers and engaged in performance. For example, JUST an example, if Delaney were to use photos of nobel cause to promote her photography services, NC would be within their rights to stop her, because they had not granted her rights to use their image and likeness for profit.
most photogs just want credit, and putting your copyright mark on the edge accomplishes that. I have tons of Nelsons photos on our site, and he was happy to let me take them, as long as I wasn't going to sell the photos themselves.
if someone took photos of my performance, and then wanted me to pay for them, i would likely say "no. and please don't take any more photos of me performing, and I'm going to need you to destroy the ones you already took."
once you have granted rights, you have no recourse. ask Marquish. he was RPFN's poster boy for years after he quit the faire.
most people just figure even is even and fair is fair.
A (very) small selection of photos from fifth weekend are up, enjoy!

The photos from week 6 are up and viewable. I didn't take as many as normal and I didn't do MUCH editing on them including some that seem to lean one way or the other.
I did however Photoshop 1 photo. I needed to try it as something was there I didn;t want. I'm not expert at Photoshop and in relaity I'd consider myself a total Newbie at it's use... well almost newbie as I have done very little with the software before except minor things.
Find the photo and tell me what you think of the edit compared to the none edit.
The photos are in the normal spot at www.pbase.com/delaneyalysa
There is a HUGE section of RenaissanceBarbie and gang. I hope you girls enjoy them., Granted there no Nelson Chen but some are pretty good (not my oppinon... others telling me that)
It seems this gallery is a busy place as I seem to get upwards to 1700 hits a day. Not sure how this reflects on visitors but it sure is fun seeing that high of hits and what photos seem to have the most hits.

delaney, who are these space men?
They said they were NASA and landed here. I asked if they fell from a tree or a wall and they said no. They complained that it was harder to breath because of something called At-Moe-Sphere what ever that is. When I asked if NASA were their names and if they were twins they laughed and said it was an agency. I took a step back and gasped and said you mean like the Executioners guild? They laughed again and said something about Space so I gave them some space and left them be.
VErY STRANGE. I think they were really Spanish or maybe French, you know how those French are. Or maybe even Dutch. I have no idea but they were weird.

If anyone was wondering I got my week batch posted fully on wednesday. Sorry for all the photos of court learning to dance. Those are like a movie and if you downloaded and save each one then ran through them, it would be a stop motion movie4 :)
There is the photos of Dawg on there and many of Toki the Spaniard.

Blushing nice photos
Thank you Baron, Professor, Hey- and Lady D ... I do try! I'm hoping the more photos of people I get the more chance I'll have of finding candids of me for my own scrapbook albums.
Professor, I shall endeavor to make it to clock, but that is when I'm supposed to appear at one of my jobs ... we shall see. So much to do, so very little time.
Lady D, you got some good shots of the dancing! And the moon visitors ...
Those NASA Guys were a bit weird. Even asked me what my Da Vinci Box was. You'd think they knew what one of those things were. Don't they have them in NASA? I'd think they would love to have Mega Pixies with them.
The Dancing was fun to watch. While a ton of photos of it, it shows a nice progression of what they were doing.
Nice progression of the tableau that Mr. Daniels commissioned from Mistress Charlotte to be painted upon my...assets. I wish I had been in a better place that day. On the other hand, at least she painted upon my...assets, as anything on my face would have been wiped away shortly thereafter by the oh-so-lovely tears I made friends with at the end of that day. Ugh. In any event, lovely pictures as always! I enjoy spending the day vicariously through you, stuck as I am inside my booth...
Zoe I am very sorry you where in a bad spot that day. Remind me to give you a hug as a good hug can help cheer up a friend. Thank you for you words that was sweet of you.

Fantastic photos. Thank you for capturing the ones of me dancing on Sunday morning. And the Captain Morgan thing, that was a BLAST.
Richard G. Lowe has his pictures up from Saturday http://www.renaissancefaire.net/Colorado.htm
Great pics even with me in some.
Soooo, who has the group pic from Saturday?
ME :) or one of them at least
Does anyone have a full length shot of the Satyr from the Pan Horns booth? He was very good, and a friend of mine would like to copy the legs.
Lovely shots, all of you, I look forward to the last week's samples going up--including my own!
Best!
I have so very many photos to go through ... I THINK I have one of the satyr though ...
I'm aiming to have the best photos posted within a day or so. ;D
Mine will be a bit latter as normall Sunday I work on photos and start uploading them. I finish by Tuesday. Since Toki and I came both Saturday and Sunday and I was totally exhausted yesterday, I hope to get to sorting today, then watermarki8ng then backing up then maybe uplaoding. Sheesh tiring work.
No full Satyr shot here, only upper torso
Professor i might know someone and i will see if she will let me grab it and get it to you.

Well, that's about the year...

Thanks to both of you for sharing! Lovely to see different places of the faire I missed this year.
Next year I will get to do LOTS of wandering as I will not be working the faire; instead I'll get 4 weekends of PLAYING. YAY!
Ah, yes. Playing. What a concept! The Baroness and I HIGHLY recommend it.
(Do I hear a second, LD, Toki, Garath, et. al.?)
BTW, Nelson Chen has posted a few of his Mardi Gras pictures. that was fast!
I'll second that Baron! Playing is fun!!!! ;D
I'll third and Toki will forth. I'd much rather play... but then again taking photos all day long is almost like work but still fun
