I had this wonderful idea of doing mini dreamcatchers and i flaked big time.  :'(

I am being lazy and not making a new version of my favor, but I still have some of the old ones left over so if you missed out on getting one last year (with the tiger's eye beads and the tiny bell), come by my booth and I'll get one to you.

Tell me about it love, Foxglove hasn't even started on them with *everything* that's been going on, ahem.  We need to do it but probably won't have them until 3rd weekend!  Yikes!

Man, I've been saying for like 3 years that I'd make some more favors, but I've never gotten around to it.  For those of you who got favors from me way back when, count yourselves exceptionally awesome!

McCool, what did your favors look like?  I might have one.


Also, I've made 11 of mine, so come by the shop if you want one.

They were little bead strands with a coin at the end.  They were supposed to resemble Jack's "Piece of Eight" coin dangle at the top of his bandana.  I made very few, and very few people actually got them.  I never did get around to making more.

Capn, you should make more.  I'm shocked I never got one and we've known each other since our first season together.   You must not love me like you say you do....   :P    Better get on it or we're through!   ;)

And it's still Jack.  I figured I'd keep Jack since people know me by it.  It's just Jack McCool instead of Jack Sparrow.

And by the way, McCool is NOT supposed to be a pun!  I only picked it because of Finn McCool from Irish legend.  But to modern ears... well... apparently I'm "Captain Coolio" now   8)

silly.   ;)
it does not matter who wants one..... it only matters who you want to have one.

favors are given (or should be, imho) as a sign friendship and affection. and so that when the person who wears your favor meets common friends, they will know that there are friends in common.  in past times, favors were given as a sign of romantic interest.
Saying "will you wear my favor" now-a-days mostly means 'I enjoy being around you' and/or 'I've got your back/thanks for having mine'  and /or 'you make this place bearable' and/or 'please remember me'.


so, if you said to me "will you wear my favor" I would be humble & flattered and say "thank you, of course I will", but I would never presume to ask anyone if they had a favor for me.

not all favors are pinned on or worn.  some of the favorites that I have received have been pocket carried like handkerchiefs or special coins, and some have been hung on a wall.  Robin  once gave me a favor that was a whole and complete actual arrow, that was all ribboned and beaded up.  it has a very special spot on my wall.

and.... if it is a pin on favor, to do it right it should be pinned on to the other person by you, not just handed over.

there again, is my 2 shillings.

Platt keeps trying to give duckies to four pretty girlies who sing.... but every time Platt has duckies to give, they go *poof* and Platt can't find them.

I want a ducky badly...!  I believe our set schedule for next weekend is as follows:

11:30 - Front Gate
2:30 - Bard's Bed Fountain Stage
4:30 - Bard's Bed
5:30 - Maybe the Bakery Stage

Flag us down, there are duckies to be had!
