So the other seamstresses in my sewing class are fascinated by the process of boning a bodice, and particularly by the cable ties. Yesterday I brought my entire package of 36" ties in and plopped it under my worktable. The woman across from me said, "Have boning, will travel!"
"Not very conveniently," I said.
At which point, speculation and suggestions abounded for what I could transport the cable ties in. One person suggested a yoga mat bag. But someone was inspired, and decided I need A QUIVER!!
You can all see it now, can't you? Daring bodice and corseteers, bent over their workspaces, quivers full of boning strapped to their backs, whipping out a ready cable tie at a moment's notice...
:D :giggle:
LOL!!! ;D
LOL ;D I would like to see that tv series.
I used to have mine, when they were mostly metal, rolled up in a canvas kit, like you see the chefs have their knives in. :D But I like the quiver idea!
Oh, me too! And I have sewing machines small enough to pop in a back-pack... Those do need electrons to run them: the hand-cranks are a bit large and heavy for that!
Not so much the sewing room on the move as the corseteer on the run!
:D LOL
dont forget shipping tubes
Heehee ... that's fantastic! ;D
LMAO
That is very amusing indeed! I made a quiver once for a halloween costume using a Pringles can, but I think the ties are too long in this case... :)
I know Hobby Lobby throws away the long cardboard tubes that material comes on. I have asked for them many times!
