 1. get on Simon's  good  side

  2. wear abikni like  bikini girl  did  last year..LOL  !

  3.  don't whine  like  Tati anna, or  whatever her name  was .

no seriously  hon, be  yourself.   Find  a  simple  song   to sing, that displays  your  vocals.  Don't go  for  any  well known song  from some  top artist  caus e they  don't seem  to  like  that.
If  you don't make it, you don't make it, but you never know  tell you  try.   I wish you luck. :)
I'm envious.  If i was  a few years  younger i would  try out,

G'luck, Drac!

Yes, you definitely want to do something that shows off your voice, but if you can do a song that was written purely for voice (no musical accompaniment), even better.  When in choir competition, I would do Sea Fever, no music, just voice.  Big hit with the judges for it.  Not saying you should do something that slow, of course... something a bit more modern... but definitely find one that's aimed to show off the vocalist's talent more than the music.

Find a gimick. They do pre-judging prior to the judging done by Simon and everyone. Even awesome singers are turned away before getting to the "real" judges if they don't think the singer is "interesting" enough for TV. Strange clothes, strange hair, sob story etc. Something besides your talent to make you stand out round one.

Good luck!

Ok Drac, AI was in Dallas last night.  Any news?

I didn't see Drac ... or anyone in garb ...

If you auditioned in Dallas, then I (sadly) assume you didn't make their cut.  Did you audition?  Was it fun?  Did you get positive feedback?  Like it was said above, even the best voices get cut simply because they are looking to cast a show for viewer interest and not simply raw talent.

She cannot say if she made the cut or not. If they do they get DQ'd. They just DQ'd one contestant as their father told the local paper their kid made it to the Semi Finals.

lets hope she made it and they just didn't show her.

Well as soon as you're allowed to tell us let us all know!

The Idol webpage (I thought) had clips of all the recipients of golden tickets.
We don't want to encourage Drac to do anything against the rules.  Hold your tongue girl, we can wait until you are free to dish the dirt.  :)

Don't quote  me on this , but the last time i talked to Dracconia  about  this  subject ( Dracconia  and  I are  close  friends )  she  told  me she  had decided  not  to try out. Of  course   this was a month or  two ago  when we were discussing  this  subject. So  the reason you  may not have  seen here, is  because  she  did not   audition.  Of  course   if  she  did change  her mind and  audition, like   already mentioned before, she  cannot  tell anyone  yet. :)
