Every Friday night they have a dinner buffet for the Legionnaires, they have invited us to join them. The buffet features 3 different entrees with all the fixins. The cost of the buffet is $12 per person.
For those who want to take advantage of the buffet please let me know because they need solid numbers to ensure enough food (Dinner is served until 8PM).We will have our own space to party in. The legion is going to set up our own bar with discounted drink prices. I have already ordered our keg (Yuengling).
The full bar will will include just about anything we may need.
Cost:
$1.50 per beer (SWEET!) From our own keg

THANK YOU Lady Joyce Ann!!
Everything is posted above! Hootie Hoo!
Local Folks!
We plan to put together some prizes that are distinctively Maryland ... if you have some creative ideas please let me know. We plan to have the prizes available for some games that we will have. Again if you have ideas for games at the Meet & Greet, speak up.
... that is all ... for now ...
Sign us up for dinner! As far as prizes go, might I suggest putting a matching pair of MDRF mugs in there? They are very nice and a great keepsake for the out of towners.

Great idea!
Sign my wife and I up for dinner.
I guess you still need to nail down the time. Is this a costumed evening? (Never been to one of these before ...) (Maybe I shouldn't admit that?) (But you already know, don't know?) (Talking to yourself isn't isn't a sign of insanity.) (No, but answering yourself is.) (Oh, right.)

Time is posted (6PM - 10PM) or longer if needed.
As for dress attire, that is a good question and I posted attire to the original thread (above)
The way i see it we will be in garb for three days at faire, so Friday night is just come as you are ... nothing special. I, for one, and I imagine most of the M'Cracks will probably be kilted and adorned with our clan shirts.
Dress is your choice, casual or garb. The legion will serve dinner till 8pm for us.
As far as ideas, I love the mug idea, how about a MDRF t shirt or a bottle of Md. wine or something from the beach representing the Chesapeake Bay.
Chuck'n and Pin'n for dinner
I haven't nailed down my flights yet, but I'm planning to get out there on Thursday, so count me in for the buffet. (Getting back to my aunt's place afterwards may be a trick if I enjoy too much out of that keg, but it sounds like a great evening!)
Would it be possible to add a keg of Guinness to the menu.......I know a group that might me interested in purchasing it.....They will have Guinness available I hope ?
We will have at least 9 of the 10 that drank the keg at TNRF at MDRF......
And of course the dress for the Clan M'Crack will be kilts and clan T-shirts....its what we do when we might have been drinkin.....
Guard'n, can you bring some M'Crack T shirts with you when you come, Cherry'n and I need one.
As a member of AL Post #10, I support this greatly.
I'll also be there, hehe.

As for the keg, it will not be Guinness (sorry) - the problem with Guinness is that it requires a different tap system completely. The legion is just not equipped for it. Yuengling, I felt, was the best choice. That said, I will get with the Post and ensure they have plenty of Guinness in cans/bottles for us ... which do you prefer cans or bottles??
Sorry folks ...
I would prefer the cans.........
And he forgot to mention that you can add us for dinner.
Of course, if you get the cans, for him that WILL be dinner.
One for dinner for sure, won't know one way or t'other about my two's status for a bit longer.
I should have my sister with me, so count two more for dinner.
We will be there. Not positive if we will be there for dinner (haven't finalized the flight yet), but will definitely be there. Will update next week when the flight gets booked.
Lady (Melissa) Kett(erer) & Bob Ketterer
My flight does not come into BWI until 7:00pm on that Friday night, so I am doubting that I will be able to make it to the gathering, especially as I am not sure how my transportation arrangements are working out yet. I will try my best but for now I'll stay on the "extremely tentative" list....
No worries Zoe ... regardless we will see you Saturday AM. Safe travels lass!
Unless flights are delayed, I would imagine that I would be there for dinner. And maybe with a guest. Vegetarian fare for both, please.

Add three more to the Friday evening party. Not sure about dinner yet, still working on flights.
(I don't suppose there's any National Bohemian in the house?}
Arrrghh....so much for the best laid plans....Delta Airlines called me today to tell me that the times of my flights into BWI on Friday the 4th changed, so now I don't touch down till 7:45 that night instead of 7. So, will possibly still make it to the gathering but probably not dinner. I'm going to call the airlines and see if there's anything I can get changed, so we'll see what ends up happening.
Freaking airlines!!!! Grrrr!

I need a M'Crack Tee. So does Sun'n. How can I get one?
I feel sure that Lairde Guard'n and Gimli will have all that are still available at the Friday night Meet & Greet, but try to get it fast. I know that there are several people that are looking for them.
My lady arianwyn and myself will be attending sir....please add us. We may be a wee bit tuckered after a 10 hour drive...so ale will definitely be needed. I believe I owe you one.
Scotsman -
We will definitely be there for the buffet! Add 2 to your list.

;D We'll mutate him to one of us yet, me and Pin'n are looking forward to being there with family and friends! :D
Please sign me up for the Buffet, Thanks

Im in! Buffet too, please. Should be quite an interesting time.
As it stands, I should be able to make the latter part of the meet-n-greet but not dinner. My plane lands at BWI at 7:45 (so Delta says, they've changed it twice now) so I'll be haulin' my butt over to the Legion as fast as I can (or as fast as Capt. Spleen can drive! ;)) to join in what fun I can till it's all over. :)
Put me down for dinner as well. I may have a possible plus 1. Haven't been able to talk him into coming just yet. :-\
we will not be having the buffet... but Seamus, Falcone and I will be at the Friday night gathering

No dinner on Friday, but Heal'n, Brendan and I hope to see everyone at the Legion Hall for drinks.

whew! I thought they were gonna ask Seamus to sing!
This is not a problem. I sing just fine. With a karaoke setup and a case of Ripple, I could take on AC/DC......
Oh ...... will there be karaoke......WooooooHoooooooo
yeah, maybe if you stick a dagger in an electrical socket while screaming "I'm back in -Oculus Nox- black"...
gives whole new meaning to 'taking on AC/DC'
Karaoke means "empty orchestra"
here it might also mean "empty audience"
Well, here in Raleigh, we have a very strong tradition of M'Crackeoke! We have become somewhat famous!

The Legion made it's alcohol and food order today ... everything is set. They will have Guinness there - they were unsure at the moment if it would be bottles or cans. SURPRISE!
I gave them the count for the buffet but they said there will be extra for those who sign up late. Let me say, this is a privilege to be asked to dine with these distinguished folks, please consider we have been invited into their house and I will not allow anyone to disrespect my fellow veterans in their house.

Since Scotsman gave me to the hall in exchange for the buffet, I'll help him kick weedwhackers if things get out of hand. I'm not really sure how much good that'll do but maybe if you're worried about not being able to edge for weeks, you'll be on your best behaviour!

In these time of economic strife, these organizations are hit equally hard. By giving them our business as opposed to a bar or restaurant out there, it really helps.
