Does the TRF campsite (or grounds at all) have WiFi? Anyone know if they have decent cell reception?
I typically get reception- I'm with Sprint. There is a wireless signal we picked up a couple of years ago (we brought our laptop in a popup for the long thanksgiving weekend) but it was secured and we think it mustve been the onsite office...
Some shops have wifi, but I think they are all securing them now. As for cell reception, I am on Verizon and get great reception, both with the phone and a cellular modem card
I know the camera run on the wifi for dragonslayer, at least they used to.
Cell phone coverage is getting better, depending on network. Cricket as of last year didnt have reception out there. But Att and Sprint for sure do.
Maybe. I have AT&T & I sometimes have to leave my booth to find a sweet spot.
I've got T-Mobile and haven't had any problems with reception, either in the fairgrounds or in the campgrounds.

Another satisfied T Mobile user. Rae says she has gotten great coverage all over the campgrounds and inside as well. I guess I'll have my chance to find out since I switched over to them also.
I have T-Mobile as well and haven't had an issue out there at all.
Virgin Mobile has reception there as well.

So there IS a virgin at TRF....? ???
My phone is a hussy but she does say Virgin right on her...I think she lies!
false advertising, mayhaps? :D
I also have Sprint and have noticed a few dead spots inside the fairgrounds, mostly in the low lying area around Sherwood Forest. Keep in mind that while you may get a signal, the network may not respond. TRF is in a pretty rural area and the cell providers do not have a great deal of capacity installed out there. When you add 20,000 people with cell phones and wireless cards it sometimes overwhelms their systems.
We have verizon, and good reception (that i have noticed) - havent tried much in the way of data connectivity...will give it a shot this year with the blackberry.
let me say from experience (not my phone) that it IS possible to stream video at the Sea Devil...
