Title: Prospective Vendors for 2010
Post by: rengypsy on July 22, 2009, 10:26:44 AM
We are hoping to close other categories for vendors by the time TRF begins. We need to get folk building their booths soon, as well.

We have posted specific vendor categories we stilll lack, and other categories are open for apps, even if it seems we have enough potters, swords/weaponry, face painters/henna folk and fortune tellers to date...cause some, even who have turned in apps have not returned their respective contracts.

Many have sent us emails indicating they are submitting apps and ready to build, but have not to date sent them in.

We encourage those who intend to be a vendor for 2010 to get these apps and contracts into us ASAP.

Categories Still Wide Open are:

Shoe/Foot Ware
Hats
Musical instruments
Artists--Sculptors, Painters, etc.
Broom Making
Mystical/Pagan/Magical wares
Jewelry (only a few slots still open)
Herbologist
Apothecary
All things Celtic
Pewter (we now have a major pewter vendor who says they will join us)
Gypsy Ware
Heraldry
Swinging Chairs
Copper Roses
Period Clothing (only a few more slots open)
Children's Period Stuff (must be very cool and faire appropriate)
Wood Carvings
Plants (?)
Antiquarian / Relics
Pirate-focused booth
Characture drawings
Sand sculpturing
Hair Braiding
and other creative ideas we haven't considered like Antoine's Shoe Shine Stump (just great!)

GET YOUR APPS AND CONTRACTS IN SOON, PLEASE.  We need to get the grounds and booths completed so we can better market the faire grounds to the media and public.

Many Thanks,

Rengypsy

hope many prospective vendors can join us on August 8th.

any other creative ideas of possible vendors???

think, dream, imagine...

sand painting

copper pots and pans ( a tinker's wagon ) with copper cow bells too

how about someone making mud or plaster casts of folks faces?

an astrologer would also be very cool.

gyspy stuff is really needed.

anyone into playing a troll beneath a bridge?  not a vendor, but just thinking of neat ideas

so, we have:

8 food vendors
2 specialty drink vendors
5 drink vendors (faire owned/operated)

10 service venders

1 game vendor w/8-10 games, i think

47 artist/artisan/merchant vendors
(w/five being faire owned/operated)

still needing more of the latter...

see previous listings for specific categories we are in dire need of.

here are a few that rise to the top of the list:
hats, shoes, boots, glass, pewter (tho one has said they will be submitting an app soon), czech crystals, musical instruments, chimes, more artists/scupltors/painters, herbs, gypsy jingles and jangles and clothing, jewelers (2 more needed), staves...kids period stuff.

help us fill these grounds soon!
