Where is everyone staying? The couple that is standing up for us at the renewal wants to stay Saturday night and come to Faire again on Sunday. I would love to make reservations where others are staying and then maybe we can go out and celebrate our renewal with some of you afterwards.
Well being on cast we'll be staying there on site but would definitely be willing to go out and celebrate with you guys. Do you know what time the ceremony will be and where yet? I'd like to be sure my wife and I can be there if we don't have a show then.

How much are you paying? It is saying $119/night on the website.
I got a suite for $134 and a regular for $115. Keep in mind we made reservations several months ago. I always try to book at least 6 months out. I am a planing freak!
Someone tell me this- My sister and I are planning to go to VARF on the 14th and I understand it is M'Crack weekend, and we are not members of the M'Cracks, I know that one has to have a sponsor to join. Can we come and visit the M'Cracks since we are going to be there?

First you have to askto be a M'Crack and if you can't find a sponser we might be able to find one for you and you (guy, that is) have to be willing to wear a kilt. Regimental optional ;D. And come up with a good name that no one else has. i.e I am Pin'n M'Crack. Also have to be 21 to join. And is your home faire east of the Mississippi River??
My faire is the Great MDRF, Revel Grove! Is there a list of taken M'Crack names anywhere?
There are two branches of M'Crack Clan one east of the Great River. That's most of us on this forum and the other bunch is based in Texas. What name are you thinking of??

Sometimes they mean something, sometimes they don't. Mine means something ;) I'm fairly certain you can figure out what. Our Laird works hard to keep up with all the names, but sometimes he get a little behind.

Well, Happy Birthday friend! Most of the Clan will not be in town until next weekend (June 13 - 15), but if you attend faire this weekend Clan White will be about - just look for Master James and he will point you in the right direction.

See - for the East Coast Clans - there are Clans all over the East Coast - well mostly. Just off the top of my head we have MD, VA, NC (two there), TN, a Pirate clan and if I remember correctly from NCRF (slightly fuzzy there) a new one in NY and possibly a startup in PA soon (and I'm probably missing some existing ones).
But not to worry - there will be a great many M'Cracks there on M'Crack weekend.
Oh BTW - Jade'n M'Crack here and my betrothed - Sir Oswyn Dagworth - is known as Smack'n ;)

First I would like to say hello to all my soon to be fellow M'Crackers out there.For those of you who were out at VARF yesterday on the 7th I am sorry that I could not be out there to see you all as I really wanted to.Hopefully you all will be there for our last weekend of the season which is next week.If so I look forward to meeting each and everyone of you (that is if i can find you).Right now as we speak I am a very excited man because I should become official within the next couple of days as I did speak with Master James today at VARF and did tell him that If your good Clan will have me that I would like to be an official member,to which he said sure no problem we would love to have you in our Clan as we are looking to have it grow.So when I get a chance tomorrow I will be sending him my information from he told me that he will need my telephone number and my e-mail adress to send along to your secretary.As far as names goes I told Master James that I do have about two names floating in the top of my head right but I did ask him to pull up a list so I can take a look at it and see what names are taken it can help me make my choice.Now as far as kilt wearing goes I told him that that was going to take some getting used to for me as this will be the first time that I have ever had to wear one but it's like I said before I am willing.Now I did mention to Master James today that the only problem I am faced with right now is who is going to sponsor me for this Clan as from what I have notice and don't quote me on but I think that everyone in this good Clan is already sponsored so hopefully yall will be able to help me out and find me a sponsor before it's to late.I look forward to seeing you all at VARF next weekend for the invasion weekend.

I see a lot of interest coming this way so I thought I would post the blurb about membership
The M'Crack are an eclectic group. Mainly from Irish origin, the M'Crack are family none-the-less. Through thick and thin, they love each other and care for one another very much. Clan M'Crack, was established in order to promote camaraderie between friends and to aid in the recognition of our bond to each other IN our dedication and appreciation of renaissance faires.
The Clan M'Crack is an illustrious group, bright eyed, bushy tailed, fearless, and unafraid, that recognize the fact that you never get anywhere in life unless you stick your neck out. Aggressiveness, a feeling of fair play, a sense of humor, and the ability to have fun, make us a group whose membership is diligently sought after and highly esteemed. Anyone can apply to petition Clan M'Crack for membership through any active chapter. The active member is allowed to sponsor (1) person for membership each year. Each sponsor is responsible for his/her petitioner(s) at all times until they are full members of the Clan M'Crack. Petitioners are required to abide by all rules of the clan charter and do as instructed in their petitioner package provided by the sponsoring chapter. They will maintain petitioner status to Clan M'Crack for one year (from one anniversary weekend to the next) before full membership privileges apply.
The clansmen of the East Coast M'Crack wear the solid black, solid green or saffron kilt and the colors of the Clan are black, hunter green, white and saffron and should be the predominant colors for M'Crack garb. If you have true Ancestry, then your family colors are permitted (This means if your of Scottish Ancestery you can wear your family tartan). Members who are actors, gamers, vendors and women may wear required attire. (i.e. wench or court or pirate) M'Crack colors are always preferred but not required...... We ask that all members try to wear the M'Crack garb as well as the Clan pin at official M'Crack gatherings or the first day of a M'Crack invasion of a faire. Curly is still the Mascot for the M'Crack's and many of the east cost M'Crack's honor him by wearing a bit of rabbit fur or a rabbit's foot somewhere on their garb.
Attendance is a must to belong, or why join? The east coast year begins on M'Crack Weekend at NCRF. An active member is required to attend at least two official Clan M'Crack Gatherings a year.

You know I look at it this way.Clan M'Crack is where I want to be.After meeting several of you through this forum and working with several members through different Renn Faires I see where the good Lairde is coming from.You guys are a close knit family and do care about each other and I believe that is what I like most of this Clan even though I am just a pet right now.One thing you all will learn about me is that I am a team player.I may not be able to make all things knowing as how I do not drive right now and I may be later some times but I will do my best to make it.I feel like I have already made several friends right now as we speak and I look forward to meeting you all this weekend at VARF.

Diane and I wanted to extend a heart felt thank you to the Clan M'Crack. Your hospitality was wonderful and we loved spending time with the group. Thanks for the company, food and hmm what am I missing? Oh yes, and the beer! It made our annual trip even better. (the company that is)

To all the M'Cracks who werre at VARF this past weekend I had a lot of fun getting to meet you all for the first time this past weekend.Getting to hang out with you all was the most I had all weekend long.You all just made my entire faire season even though it was the last weekend of VARF but still it is a moment that I will never forget.I also had fun matching the faces with the names that I have seen all around here on this Forum that was alot of fun.Okay enough of the mushy stuff now ;D There are some certain people........no let me rephrase that some certain M'Crack family members that I want to give a shout out to.Pin'n and Chuck'n you guys are alot of fun to talk to along with Strok'n had me laughing so hard that I nearly fell out of my seat.Strok'n I love a good flirt I always have and I always will.Don't ever tell me that you are much older than I am cause yes that may be true but I still think that you are a very attractive woman.Who said guys my age (25 years old as of last tuesday) can' t appreciate the beauty of an older woman.The funny thing was was that I did not recognize alot of you until much later in the faire when I saw you all up close.The only one that I have still have yet to meet is Scotsman as I did not see him there at all this weekend or maybe I myself am getting old to the point that I may need to get my eyes checked.Lady De La War I look forward to serving you in any way I can as a loyal and Faithful member of your court my good Queen.Your Majesty know you that you now have two protectors as I your Faithful servant Lord Wriothsley along with your Champion Knight Sir Oswyn Dagworth will do anything in my power just like I do with my dear Queen Bess to make sure that you are well served and well protected.I hope that this will not be the only VARF that you all as I would love to see you all again next year.Sorry if I sound long winded but I wanted to send a special thank you to my new M'Crack family and yes even as a pet.

Hey as a pet I can attest to that.I had fun this past weekend running errands and taking pictures for the Clan.It was really alot of fun to have my picture taken with my new family as well.I felt honored to be asked into a M'Crack photograph.

Well I plan on making Carolina and Pennsylvania and Maryland this year.Hopefully the Clan will be there.

Well I will be working PARF as visiting cast when I go so I will be in my noble garb just like VARF.
