My buddy Brent and I are coming down from Toronto again this Labor Day weekend. In the past, we had visited for the weekend with his wife's family in Silver Spring and went to the Faire on one of either Saturday or Sunday. Well, this year his marital status has changed, and that visit isn't going to happen, and we need to find accommodations.
We figure on staying in Anapolis, as Google has shown me that there are a bunch of hotels at the east end of the city, ten minutes from the Faire. Does anyone know of any Faire deals at these hotels? The MDRF website isn't showing any individual recommended hotels that might have a deal for Faire goers. (For example, when we go to MIRF, there is a Hyatt that gives an awesome room for $104 and that includes two tickets to the Faire.)
Any ideas? We will be driving down on Friday, staying over Friday night and hitting the Faire Saturday, staying over Saturday night, and then driving back Sunday.

I know that typically the local hotels do not give discounts to faire goers. Also seeing as that it the long weekend many hotels book early so please don't wait to long. The Best Western in Annapolis usually has the best rates at about $80 a night.
Good luck, I also tossed this to the Friends of Faire to see if anyone else had any suggestions. I'll let you know.

Hubby and I are going to Rendezvous 2009 over Labor Day weekend and snagged a room at the Extended Stay Hotel in Annapolis (linked from the MDRF site) for $89/night for 2 of our nights and $99 for the other 2. Considering the room will have a small kitchenette and fridge to stash things for our weekend trek, we thought it was a deal.
And if you go peruse the Rendezvous Forum, you can get some group discount tickets to the Faire.

Ah Lady Kett made me think of it, there are discount coupons as well for the festival. $4 off for adults, you can find them on the festival site www.rennfest.com or on the Friends of Faire site at www.MDRFFoF.org
Robert, go under the Rendezvous link on here, Lady Glorianna is taking orders for tickets and they are only $12.50 a ticket. Can't beat that.Looking forward to meeting you.
Be sure to get there an hour or more before opening gate to tailgate. There should be a sizable crowd.
