It appears to be a biography of Long John Silver of Treasure Island fame. And the reviews of it make it sound good, I know when I have a couple of bucks i'll be heading out to pick it up.
Here's the Amazon listing for it...
Silver: My Own Tale As Written by Me with a Goodly Amount of Murder (http://www.amazon.com/Silver-Written-Goodly-Amount-Murder/dp/0312373651/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1203637537&sr=1-1)
Hmmm.. just the title is intriguing.."With a goodly amount of murder!"
Thanks - this will be added to my pirate bookshelf. I just finished reading Pirate's Passage, which was written for juveniles, but isn't a bad read.
This is a wonderful book. . .we reviewed it in the Pyrates Way back in the Winter 07-08 issue. I was lucky to get the pre-publication issue and it was a great view of a story long told but often misunderstood.
You know its funny, newish fiction and the 4 closest Barnes & Noble stores to me don't have it, I may just have to bite the bullet and order it online.
I'm glad some of the other members of the board seem interested in reading it too.
Thanks for the review SirBlackFox, its on my to get list.
