So it was about a year ago....
My husband bought a bright and shining new TV...super sleek and modern....cause he's a geek.
In the past year...we've been thankful we purchased that $400 extended warranty becaue the lamp has gone out 3 and now 4 times in the past year.
It's that 4th time that I'm adressing...along with that extended warranty which ends next month.
TV blew out again ...4 and 1/2 weeks ago...same issue...the lamp.
okay...call the warranty people and they send their repair people out. Same problem/same solution.
4 and 1/2 weeks later...today I've still no working tv because of a simple lamp replacement part guaranteed under extended warranty (can you tell I'm missing football on the good TV)
I thinkwecandoitourselves adage is kicking me in the head.
I got some really really curt letters going out.
Those that know me know that the verbage while dignified is extremely abusive. >:(
I'm really at the absolute knowledge that TV's are a once a year purchase - pretty much like your toliet bowl brush.
Extended warranties are ridiculous.
A breach of consumer knowledge and absolute fraudulent retail gauge.
