::) Here is some quick background.
Aside from working in the family business, I own a laser cutter and engraver.
I cut and engrave custom logos, names images etc on just about any material.
One of my big customers is another boat manufacturer, I cut all their company logos and custom logos for their customers.
I get an easy peasy order the other day ;D.
"Cut this name, here is the material, its two colors; grey and white, white is the background color."
No sweat, I cut it, I'm very proud of myself, ups it back to her.
Today I get a phone call that I ''screwed up the logos".
She wanted grey with white background "yes I know thats what I sent you". ???
Long story short apparently in her dictionary white background means she wants the letters in white with a grey background.
My head is still spinning about that one.
Then she needs a new dictionary.
They walk among us....that's the scary part.
I see 1-3 customer service emails a day that range from straight forward to laughable to downright scary.

I did a bout of engraving at my company and that kind of misunderstanding is not as common as it should be. The line that says "Description (Exactly as the label should read):" Just doesn't seem clear enough for some. >sigh<

I work for a small school district in there print shop and there isn't a week that dosn't go by that i look at one of our work orders a teacher fills out and say to my co-worker "and this person teaches our kids?" It is scary how some can't fill out a simple form.

I'm a courier and all my deliveries are to the SAME places MON-FRI. So, I see the SAME people all the time.
1st stupid thing....one lady ALWAYS asks what she's supposed to do with my manifest. I politely ask her to please sign and print under the name of the company she works for. She ALWAYS signs under MY companies name. I've even pointed out the lines she should sign on. *forehead meets hand* Duh!
2nd stupid thing...SAME lady from above...I've been delivering to this company since July. She gets shocked when I address her or other staff by their names. They wear name tags, is it not courtesy to have remembered their names when I see them everyday? lol

There was the woman who had a nervous breakdown when I handed her the scanner to sign. "Why are you pointing that at me??"
Then there was the old man who never wanted his packages delivered to the same spot twice. "NO! Put 'em over there."
I won't even mention the traffic, consisting of old people jacked up on handfuls of meds, all trying to get no where fast. Geez, I miss that job.....

On my way home from work I stopped at BJ's to pick up the Transformers DVD. I even had a $3.00 off coupon. I placed my purchases on the conveyor with the DVD and coupon on top. The cashier looked at the coupon and said: " I can't sell you this unless you also buy the Blue Ray. The coupon says Good for DVD and Blue Ray". I tried to argue but she was adamant in her stand. Finally she called a manager over, who after looking at the piece of paper, said to sell it to me. The cashier then argued with the manager, saying: "It says AND, not OR!!!". The manager said just sell it to him, which she did but with much mumbling. ::) ::) ::)
Here is another one that kills me,
when companies hire people to be sales persons for very specific products- for example printing services or specialized manufacturing materials, and these sales people know bubkuss about the product/services they sell, the industry, the process or anything that has anything to do with what they sell.
How in hades are you supposed to sell me printing services if when I ask you for the required graphic specs on the particular item I want to order you tell me "oh it doesnt matter" and then when it comes down to it you try to act all superior and tell me I didn't conform to the required specs.
makes me want to do a * HELLOOOO MCFLYYYYY* on them
