OK, as you all know, Rendezvous will be at Scarby this year in April. This means it's just a month after our traditional St. Patrick's Day / St. Molden's Day Invasion.
In addition, this year will also be the very first Clan O'Conchobhair M'Crack Family Gathering at BARF!
All of this is shaping up to make this year's event a massive one... and being just a month before Rendezvous, I think it's gonna pretty much be a "Pre-Rendezvous Bash"... a chance to get the community all geared up for an amazing Rendezvous at Scar
I'd love to see this Gathering be a wondrously large one with an enormous amount of fun... and with all the things that will be going on that weekend, I'm sure that it can be.
So let's get a preliminary idea of how many people will be able to make it and work from there. I'll update this post periodically so we can get an accurate tally...
There will be a Friday night Meet And Greet, then Saturday and Sunday Faire days.
We'll tailgate both days... and there'll be a Gathering on Saturday night.
Sunday evening, after Faire, there may be a get-together to say goodbye/point towards Scarby...
(I know some of you are likely 'guarantees' but I won't put anyone on the list without their request)
I will buy Anna as many ciders as she wished until the end of season

You know I'll be there.
And it's a pretty good bet that we'll be there.
I'll be there for some.. but did ya have to ask? LOl! ::)
I should be there. Had a great time last year.
Of course, count me in. Along with the big bottle of advil I have a feeling I will be needing.
And you know at least 2 members of Her Majesty's court will be on board....
Molden's been talking 'bout this one for a while now! Looks like we'll be working our way south!
Write me in as a maybe. :)
50/50 that willin and I may make it this (next) year again.
Since St. Patrick's Day falls on Weds in 2010, which weekend is the one that is for the invasion? I have to ask early for days off on weekends, so I gotta know!
If I had it my way, we'd START the celebration the weekend before and not end it until the weekend after was through...
but...
alas, despite rumours to the contrary... I don't have the power
As yet, the schedule for next season is unreleased. We'll have to wait and see. I'll put both of you down as tentative
Well, I can be fer sure at some o' the events. Will definitely be at Sat. and likely Friday night. Sunday be a bit iffy at this point, but we shall see...
welcome to the party, Mickey!
Fabio and I are definites.
When is this anyways?
*screw the dates, add us to the list*
Put me down for Tenative Possibly Maybe Hopefully!
Its going to depend on which weekend it is, how school is, and where the money is too.
But I made a promise to some people a year ago that I'd get my happy arse to BARF in due time. I'm hoping 2010 is the year. ;)
Usually get in very late Friday and am working (in some capacity) for someone at faire. Do stop and say hi, though!
Consider it done, Elo!
Kathryn, what are you saying? You're in?

I don't know, Count. Definitely can't do the night before, and it depends on where I'm needed on Saturday. What time on Saturday would be the gathering anyway? Early morning I'm getting ready, from 8 until it breaks up I'm my groups' sacrificial morning meeting/news lamb, and then I'm busy either helping set up band equipment or at the Sword in the Stone.
Well, my presence has been requested (and there's supposed to be a certain t-shirt in it for me!), so I'm gonna try like hell to get there... :D
Put me in the Maybe column, please...
"Hello, Cafe Press....? I have a rather woolly problem.....
Add Lady Peddlin and myself
Has anyone determined what weekend is St. Molden's since the 17th is mid week this upcoming year?
The website is still being used by the MNRF. We'll have to keep checking....we just don't know what weekend they will call as St Paddy's Day, as the day itself falls in the middle of the week.

Doesn't that just mean we party for 10 days, and whoever is the last standing picks up the tab?!?
No.
I'm usually standing with the tab in hand.... ;)
Hey, don't be telling people that!!! You have a reputation to... well, perpetuate, anyway... LOL Whatever would they think at the idea that Seamus Rumkiller actually walked away from a party?!? :o Drunken pyrate captains seldom walk anywhere, when they can stumble... :P ;)

This weekend is going to be so legendary there will really be no "times"
the entire weekend is going to be a gathering...
by the way, I'll be up for the ten days of continuous partying by then...
I seem to have been overlooked... but I'd still like to be on the Maybe list, please! :)

I thank you, Sir! :)
i should be able to attend for that barf is my transplant home faire i just need to remember.
so put you down as a definite or a maybe?
Put me down as a maybe, Count.
If it's the weekend before, I plan to be there.
The weekend after, my middle daughter is getting married. (No, Seamus, I don't have any daughters. What gave you that idea?)
I have to travel 1000 miles to meet you and now, here, at our home Faire, I might not see you?
St. Molden's Day isn't the ONLY time I'm hoping to be there this year. I just don't know for sure what other dates I'll be there yet, because I have a wife and two daughters in a pipe band (and BARF season is pipe band competition season in Florida) and a son who plays soccer.
My plan is to make it out at least ONE other weekend.
It would seem to me that the weekend BEFORE would be the one that will be celebrating St. Pat's day at faire.
Now, far be it from anyone to be illogical. I know I enjoy a good bit of illogic.
I concur with the many incarnations of Mickey...
;D
if I had to guess, and I don't have to... but whatever, I feel like it... the weekend before will likely be Shamrocks and Shenanigans... AKA St. Molden's Day
and the weekend after will be Italian Masquerade... as St. Joseph's Day is that Friday and he is the patron of Italy as Patrick is to Ireland...
but then, again, I am just guessing, too.
The weekend before sounds great, as that gives those that need it extra time between this trip and Scarby. Just make a decision soon as plans have to be made for those traveling from afar.

we're waiting on the schedule
Count, perhaps I am misreading, but should we work to put dates to a vote to see who can attend so that others can make plans? It does seem if we are celebrating St Molden's Day one possible factor will be in the Saint will be able to attend. Just thinking out loud here.
I did check TBO for March looking for conflicts that might make hotel rooms more expensive but did not find any (unless the Clothing Optional Meet N Greet or Tampa Orchid Society are bigger draws than anticipated).
i shall be there as a definate. just look for me at the round world inn.. :)
methinks... and I could be talking out of turn... but methinks whatever weekend we make it, good Saint Molden the IMPious will be there
methinks a few of us would volunteer to go get him if it came to it
I am waiting on that official BARF schedule... but do bear in mind that you have a very valid point, if it turns out that the weekend they DON'T declare as "St. Patty's" is more beneficial, we, the Powers That Be in the Invasion Planning, could always choose to do it the other weekend
(ie if they choose the weekend AFTER but the weekend BEFORE is better for us, we could have St. Molden's and then St. Patty's ... lol)
Count Adolpho My Good Friend:
I have a question. Has BARF reversed it's policy on weaponry or not. I had heard that they decided to allow peace tied weapons, but upon looking at their web page it still says no weapons. Can you clear that up. I have a reason for asking. I am looking at the possiblity of a 6 month IT contract in St. Pete and I might be able to attend as I would be staying for the 6 months in a local campground in my RV. But my attendance at BARF would only be done if they now allowed weapons.
The BLAKDUKE
Sir Blakduke They Do Allow Peacetied weapons I would know as a patron and as a employee i am a boothie there as well as it is my transplant home faire so your answer is Yes they allow peace tied weapons.

Many thanks Captain.
As you are employed there, you might mention that they should change the info on the web page.
Blakduke, our faires official site is not yet up for the season, though I did take a look at our own faire directory and it does state no weapons which is incorrect. Last year was our first season to have weapons again allowed and it seems we need an updating! As soon as the official site is up I'll be sure to pass the correct info along. Thanks for that heads up. :)
Capt. Black, thanks for the word from behind the scene. Glad to see we'll continue to be a weapons allowed/peace tied village. I like the way the men look with a weapon or two swinging at their sides. Looking forward to visiting with you at the Round World.

OK, I have it on VERY good authority that it WILL INDEED be the weekend BEFORE St. Patty's that is the Irish Weekend... usually called Shamrocks and Shenanigans...
so...
let the planning begin.
I have a few ideas for this invasion that will make it like none you've ever been to before... this is gonna be spectacular so anyone who is "on the fence" about coming...
get down from there before you hurt yourself
Ulfric, I concur... perhaps the Lord High Drunkard down here will get on that.
BLAKDUKE... bring your sword!
Iain perhaps I'll finally see you at BARF...
and to everyone... bring on the fun!
I would be greatly appreciative of a definitve on weapons! Last year I was turned away on one day, but nay I give up.. NOOO! Twas not a fort night later I gained access with Andruil and my Elvish small sword at my side. Seems to depend who is manning the main gate. ???
Last year was the first in a while that we were allowed weapons and I'm guessing there was some confusion at the gate. I'll wager this year it's more ironed out.
My best recommendation for you would be to contact the faire directly for a definitive answer
http://www.bayarearenaissancefest.com/contact.html
I have heard nothing of any change in policy from last season, which was peace-tied only.
I'd wager that you're right about there being someone manning the gate who merely didn't know the policy had changed from the year before.
I promise I'll get confirmation for you, though.

I hope so. That's my plan. But I'm self-employed, and have been running a deficit for three months, and have no reserves left. (Basically, after I got back from Rendezvous, the bottom dropped out.) If trends continue, I see things turning around in 2020. So to survive, let alone get to BARF, I'm going to need a change of employment, a change in trends or the ability to buck trends. Wish me luck!
sorry to hear that... really hope you can make it
The possibility of me coming is becoming more and more likely and I'm going to work my arse off over the holidays and buy my plane tickets after Christmas, and start to figure out lodging, etc, etc.
Looking forward to seeing/meeting so many! :)
It will be nice to see you again Eloquent. :)
Great news, Elo! looking forward to meeting you if I make it this year!
Elo, that's terrific! It will be great to finally meet you! ;D

I saw on the BARF website there is a group discount. Does anyone know how much the tickets will be? It says to contact their sales dept. Could someone from the Tampa area contact them and find out please? Also, I saw they sell discount tickets online, but when you add in the fee they charge, it almost adds up to the regular price of the ticket, since the fee is per ticket, not per transaction.
It also mentions they have discount coupons at Walgreens and Subway. Does anyone know how much the discount is and whether it would be less expensive than the group discount?
And if the group discount is the best, is there any way for us out of towners who don't have season passes to send the money to someone who would be willing to purchase the tickets for the group, like blue 6669 is doing for the RenDezvous?
Thanks for your input. If we didn't really, really, really want to come, then I wouldn't be devising ways to try to make it more affordable so we CAN come!

Hey Mickey.....any chance you could handle this for them?
Last year I bought my tickets at Walgreens and I think they were 14.95.
If you look at the website under promotions for the M'Crack/Irish weekend of March 13 & 14 they have a 3.00 discount at the ticket window for anyone wearing green.

What a reversal of fortune I have had ...
Just a couple of months ago I was not sure I would be able to get to BARF at all. Now we're coming to opening day, returning for St. Molden's Day, and it will indeed be a pre-RenDezvous bash for us, because business takes us to Texas in mid-April and we're extending our visit to go to RenDezvous.
Oh, wait, there's more! My wife won a three-night stay at a Tampa hotel, and if they'll let us use it the weekend of March 13, we'll be there Saturday AND Sunday.
Yippee! (Sorry for cheering for myself. Couldn't help it. Very excited, you know. Calming down now. Won't let it happen again.)

Huzzah!! My fortunes have made a turn in the right direction as well, and I am very happy to see the wealth spread around. We look forward to seeing you and yours...
Your daughter is coming as well, right....? ;)
That's creeeeepy, daddy... :-\

I thought the crowd at Lady of the Lakes was gonna have a heart attack, lmao.

Go ahead. It's tradition.
Right, Your Honor.....? :P
It is Oh-fish-ull.
Lady Renee and Lord Stephen will visit all their friends at BARF on St. Molden's Weekend.
Yesterday, I bought plane tickets (3600 mile drive roundtrip for 2 days at faire is a bit much) and rented car. Next on the to-do list is the hotel.
Hang on to your knickers, BARF. We're comin' !!
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Huzzah huzzah for Faire Fun!!! (I'm stopping at 3 !!! so I don't get hit with an over-excitement penalty) ;D
I'm so excited for my first visit to your faire and to meet all the great R/F folks in attendance!
It sounds like you have several pre/post fest events planned. Do you have a tentative schedule with details (times/locations/hotel headquarters/etc)?
I'll have a rental car and be traveling without any other R/F folks so I'm happy to offer rides to those in need. ;D
See you all soon!
MG
What wonderful musical entertainment can we see this year at BARF? We love the music at faire the best and are looking forward to the shows.
Also on St. Molden's weekend, will there be a group Queen's tea? How do we arrange going as a group, if there are others that want to participate? It was so much fun when we went 3 years ago.
I hope this year's Queen's Tea will play Musical Men. It wasn't played the last time. *hint, hint, to any Queen's that might hear this* ;D
I will most definitely be doing Queen's Tea! Maybe this time I'll remember it LOLOL!
So many people to capture on film in so little time! ;)
Marietta, can't wait to meet you! And yay Renee, I get to meet you pre-Rendez!!!
I really hope we play Musical Men and I've heard Queen's Tea is fun!
Gaaaaah! Can't it just be March already...pleaaaaaase?!
This is gonna be one helluva party! ;D

We'll be there Friday (3/12) afternoon/evening - in tyme for the meet n' greet! :D
I just want to say to those coming St. Patty's weekend for BARF: If you'll be around Tuesday, Empty Hats is playing at Skipper's Smokehouse, so please consider sticking around and going to see them since they won't be at BARF this year.
Peddlin and Myself will also have Yankin and Bee'n in the car with us, Another vehicle will be carrying Pnn'n, Chuck'n, and at least 2 others.......Scheduled to arrive Friday afternoon, well before meet and greet.
I went back to Page 1 & saw we are still on the "maybe, hopeful" list.
Happy to say, we are now 2 Out of Towners on our way to BARF! ;D
Me too! Me too! Me and my wife, too, two of us, can move from the hopeful to the definite list.

I do hope all is well with the Count. After the two of us Floridites met for the first time at RenDezvous in Maryland, he was adamant that we meet up at BARF.

Sweetie as Count's Cruise Director for the Clan Mcrack, I say go ahead and update the list if ye can. He is slammed lately and has a ton going on. I will call him and let him know. I am sure he wont mind at all.
Well then, updated!
No problem. It just took a second. :)
Hey, I'm here... I just check this only once per week now.
There hasn't been much activity.
Sorry.
Since it's picking up... well, it SHOULD be buzzing...
eh...
if it's updated, that's cool.
I didn't see my name on the updated list, but I'll be there both the 13th and 14th!
Whoops! Sorry Rebecca. Added.
its funny i'm not on the list though i said i was definately coming...
For whoever doesn't know us, Lady Renee & Lord Stephen on the list are Lady Renee and Lord Stephen Buchanan.
*Renee thinks, "oohhhh, am I like Cher or Beyonce, that I can have one name?" Then she comes back to reality and says, "nope."* ;D
Capt. I apologize. I missed your definite.
Renee, I do believe you refer to yourselves as such just a few pages prior. Buchanan added.
I'm kicking this back to the Count. Glad to see he is alive and well and able to drop by the threads now and again. :)
Thanks, Anna. I don't think we're famous enough to qualify for one name. But wouldn't that be great? We'd have a lot more money to spend then at faire if we were famous! lol :D
giggle.... dont forget me and other half...giggle...
I wasn't really fishing, Seamus, or expecting anything. Just being light hearted. :) Sort of a verbal "goose" if you will.
Someone please add Gimli to the list. He will be with us.
I think I'm famous enough to go by one name... I'm almost certain LOLOL. Just kidding. But, me, Ace and our entourage will be staying at the Best Western about three minutes from the faire.
I'll never be in the "one name" category simply on its nature. But I have noticed that whenever my name gets mentioned, the men keep a close eye on their drinks, and the women keep checking their bodice laces. ;D
I'm not known by a name, so much as a color. :-P
(http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb187/Molden/BARF/moldenwuzhere.jpg)
No matter what we're called, who was there, or anything at all................... I can't wait to get to BARF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Countdown: 16 days & we'll be in Florida. 19 days till BARF. ;D
OK, you Floridians. Make sure it's nice and warm! ;)
Blue was NEVER here.... you can't prove it.
I go backpacking for a few days and I get deported! ;D
I'm listed as out of town. While it takes me two hours to get to get to BARF, and I can't make it often because of soccer games and highland games, I do consider it my home faire.
No big deal, though. I'll just pretend I don't know anyone!
Geesh! You guys are picky... :D Moved to the BARF column Iann. :)
....and Blue, I can't prove you were here, but your image with the banana you were enjoying at BARF is permanently seared upon my brain.... :o
Like I said earlier, I have been working on my pickle technique... I'm taking the title home to Texas- AGAIN!
OK how about Saturday high noon at the O.K. Corral Seahorse Pub?
Bring it, Blondie...
Checks his new camera and sees it can do HD Video, this will be interesting ;D
Was it Exy who gutted the pickle and left the skin pristine and intact? :o
Yep, and Blue accomplished that at MDRF. I feel a YouTube video coming on... :o :o :o
I feel several YouTube videos coming on this year...
That's why I got a 16GB card for my camera! ;D
Remember... What Happens At RenFaire...
.........gets posted on FB and youtube.
You KNOW it, Cousin!
... then archived to DVD, and stored in a safe deposit box for later use. 8)
Rennies should never, ever consider political careers...
these videos seem to resurface...
That's why I avoid politics altogether. The skeletons are packed so tightly in my closet it looks like a New York subway car at rush hour. :o
Yeah... after Faire, I have no political aspirations
I don't know guys. I'd vote for a woman for President who could suck a pickle dry WAY before one who can see Russia from her backyard. Got to pick your superpowers well, I say.
I'm not going into politics, but why do you think I hide behind the camera.
No one has evidence of me doing anythin- I'm completely innocent until proven guilty! ;)

That does it! Athena gets her mimosas in a Big Gulp cup! ;D
;D
HAHA, that's if Blue shows up. Just found out that my entourage may not come, which means that I would have to find another way to get to Florida. Paying for a car, gas, and hotel would leave no moneys for drinking... Boo...
Threaten them with a molotov mudslide if they don't go.

1. I'd agree, the pickle trick is impressive.
2. The "Russia from my house" thing was an SNL skit... not a real candidate statement, so that sorta disqualifies that.
3. I'd love to see the debates with a Rennie Party... THERE'S a SNL skit waiting to happen!
A Rennie debate would be priceless.

Isn't there something along those lines in Apocalypse Now? Something...something....in the morning? :D
*gives Jack a box of Crayolas--the 24, not the 64 pack since he has a tendency to drop them under the seat and they melt so easily*
Here's a Winnie the Pooh colouring book, a Lunchable with little cocktail weinies, melted cheese-food and crackers, and a carton of apple juice.

I'll be updating the list tomorrow for you all. Let me know who else is coming and what their RF name is. Thanks!
Laird, is there a certain day to wear the Clan colors? We aren't checking bags ($35 per bag each way. Yikes!), so I'm trying to figure out what garb to pack this weekend.
Thanks. Can't wait to see everyone! This time next week, I'll be drinking mimosas. OK, I guess I'm a little bit early, but I'm so excited!

The guideline is that clan colors are normally worn on Saturday.....
I think this conversation and this thread, would be better served in the McCrack forums. Please continue your conversations about the Clan there. Thanks all.

Ok, just read like 4 pages of this thread. Think that I am finally up to date@!!!!
Been crazy, every week night coming home from work around 6:30 and then having diner with the family, then straight into my studio to crank out stuff for the weekend till 11:30 then back at it at 6:30. Never have a chance to get on here!
There was made mention of an announcement though?
Regardless, looking forward to seeing EVERYONE this coming weekend, and the following 2 as well.

Mickey, the announcement is essentially that I'm no longer the Mod of the BARF forums. I believe it will be given over to someone who better fits your group. For the best all around I think.
It's getting hard to focus on anything else... here we are on the verge of the legendary St. Molden's weekend...

Have a wonderful time, everyone!!! Take lots of pics! :D
Obviously, the women have to work!
Snaps! Are you waiting on the princess? I'm on my way over with my stuff....I was gonna drop it off later before work at 8pm...Anyone else working the graveyard shift tonight? Quick someone give me a box of girl scout cookies has a peace offering! :)

Sorry I missed you all! I was there both days this weekend, but I went with non-RF friends each day. And someone scheduled that toast at the same time as the kilt contest. No way I was missing that! Anyway, it was a lovely weekend, and the weather was just perfect!

So is Mad Jack Wolfe!
Many of you are now Pets in the Clan and on the way to membership as well.
There were wenchings and roguings... there were toasts and group photos...
We had a lot of announcements this weekend... a lot of new things in the works... a lot of drinks were bought and even more were imbibed...
Last season, BARF set a single-day attendance record on this weekend... still awaiting word on whether or not we broke it this year.
There were many surprises... romantic moments... full-out-grin moments...
From the bottom of my heart, thanks to all of you who made this weekend such a smashing success.
We are very pleased that you took the time to travel to our shire and spend this weekend with us.
And to those who could not be with us... those who wanted to and just could not make it for whatever reason... know that you were missed and thought of fondly by us. Some of us even drank several to your health!
Molden... thanks
You know why 8)
Please, each and every one of you, accept our invitation to join us again next season!!!
We're already counting the days!
Nobody ever drinks to my health, they drink cause it's the only way they can put up with me LOLOL! Missed you freaks...
My God, talk about an AMAZING weekend!! Begin able to spend time with beloved friends (and getting to cook for them!) is good enough on its own, but to add in fantastic new friends makes it even more incredible!
The weather for the weekend was nearly perfect, and the faire was absolutely delightful. Madge Estes as Catherine Parr is simply brilliant! The M'Cracks surprised the hell out of me by bringing me into the family, for which I am so grateful. Then to get wenched not once, but twice in the same afternoon, the second time by the Queen herself... now that's what I call hospitality! :D
Oh, and the quickies quiches at tailgate were DELICIOUS! Congrats to Wenchie on her culinary masterpieces! The only thing more amazing than their taste was how fast they were devoured.
Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome at your faire! Wenchie, Seamus, Adolfo, Lady Phoenix, Kate, Mickey, Hector, Madge, Lady D, Esc and Leinad, NoBill, and everyone else, you made it magical! And yes, I definitely want to visit again next year!
Weeee! We were so happy to have you!! It was wonderful finally meeting you!!
*hugs*

WOOOO THAT WAS FUN!
Many, many thanks are due t' be sure!
Thanks to Count Adolpho, Lady Phoenix and Squire Mickey - as well as many others for all the planning, hospitality, discounts, and generosity in hosting this last weekend! The favours and honoraria are also, greatly, if not delightfully appreciated. They will join my cache of honored commemorations.
It was beyond wonderful to be so honored by Her Royal Majesty, the Queen Catherine Parr - for the tyme I enjoyed getting to chat with you at the Tilted Kilt, as well as being able to play in your wooing contest at tea (Thank the Gods I had "game" enough to woo me own Lady Mikayla - again!), and the extreme honor of being "properly" wenched by you and your lovely court!
Thanks to Lady Mikayla for being so wonderful and enjoying the chance to play at faire at I do, letting faire unfold itself freely without appointment nor schedule. It was fun wooing you again Sweets!
Thanks to the Wenches' Guild - Local #21 for the fyne wenching after tea!
Thanks to my Dear Friends Escarlata and Leinad - it is always wonderful to share faire with you Darling - umm and you too Ranger! Duh! ;D
It was also beyond wondermous to see many dearest freinds of whom I have not seen in too long - Wenchie, Mad Jack, Count Adolpho, Connor, Seamus, Eloquent IX, Lady Brandy, Lady D'Arbanville, Lady Dracolich, Kate, Golden Goddess, Marietta Grazziella, Quiet One, Willow, Sir William (Seems I run into you EVERYWHERE Mate!), Gravedigger Doug, No Bill Lurker, Ian Robb, and sooo many more!
I Dearly Love this Faire, it's flavor, it's Spriit - it's Queen! and the playfullness of all involved. I conside it myne "Home Faire Away From Home" - Long may it Live and... LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!
I, too, wish to add Steve and my thanks to everyone from BARF - and the others who made it there from elsewhere. If I had one word to describe the weekend (which started for us on Thursday night with a yummy dinner!), it would be "absolutely perfect." I know that's 2 words, but "perfect" doesn't begin to do it justice.
Seeing old friends and meeting new ones, the incredible TWO tailgates (Steve loved the haggis, I stood far away then gave him a lifesaver), attending the hand-fasting, being pinned a M'Crack by Welsh Wench, buying the most beauteous and comfortable shoes in the WORLD, meeting Eloquent, who is absolutely adorable, a wonderful Chieftain's toast by Pinn, a super fun dinner with 20 Ren friends on Sunday night, so many hugs and kisses, I can't count - the list goes on and on.
Thank you to everyone who made it happen. It was one of my most memorable birthday presents ever! ;D
It sounds silly, but I want to cry reading these posts. You are all such an amazing group of people and it was an honor for us BARFers to be able to host this past weekend.
I feel like my second family flew in for the weekend and I miss them all like crazy now! COME BACK SOON! *hugs* to you all!
Thanks to one and all for a lovely weekend at Faire...Seeing old friends and meeting some new ones was wonderful, I missed a few who were apparently there since I was in the booth most of the time...For those of you who made our day more fun by stopping by, many thanks! And many thanks also for making this our best weekend yet at this Faire...Trying hard to remember Craig of Farrington's advice to not be sad that it's over, but glad that it happened!

I had a good cry as I flew back to Texas by myself, watching Tampa disappear behind me so its ok Kate, you can cry.
You never realize just how blessed you are until you have to leave a family you've just barely started to get to know. Makes me thankful for these forums, facebook, and cellphones. I'll try and get back to you all as soon as I can, and if not, I'll see those that can get down here. Miss you all so much already! :-*
What a great weekend! I had so much fun, and am still having trouble getting back into the groove at work! I miss you guys!
