I am Gwendolynn (who's title changes with her clothes, hehe). I will *HOPEFULLY* be back to the wonderful world of TRF this year (trying to get back to Texas as fast as I can- interview with the job prospect is monday, so keeping the fingers crossed). If I DO make it home in time, I will be wandering around faire with kiddos in tow (my darling daughter, and my sister's two munchkins, while she's working in a shop).

This gentleman kind of resembles me. I generally can be seen walking around the festival taking pictures, although I am kind of hard to spot sometimes. I tend to get around the festival many, many times in search of photographic opportunities, so catching me in one spot is difficult other than at the meet 'n greet at the PoW.

Like Valt, I'll be wandering about taking pictures. Although, on the first weekend I'll probably be hanging out with the Gypsy Guerrilla Band and Cantiga, since I haven't seen them in several years. Also, if Queen Anne's Lace (from Scarby) is down singing any this Fall, I'll probably be visiting with them as well. It seems as though the best chance of getting pictures of RenFest Forum Folks would be at the PofW Pub after the Parade. Also, what time is the Chain Maille show that Cassidy participates in?

Sir Martin Hughes here, along with the lovely and gentle Tessa the twice-hearted. Tessa will be with me for All Hallows and I'll be going stag another 3 or 4 weekends. On All Hallows we will be at POW for the Meet and Greet, and will most likely catch Sound and Fury and Arsene at the Odeon, as well as several musical performances on the Mockingbird, Wharfside, and New Market Music Gazebos. We will also catch at least one show of the Gypsy Dance Theatre in The Agora. She loves to watch the Royal Fireworks if she isn't too tired at the end of the day. On the weekends when Tessa cannot attend, I generally wander in search of good photo opportunities to share with our members here.
You will find me usually in peasant or pirate wear (or a kilt) the first few weeks of TRF, then as it get cooler, I'll wear a leather doublet. If I can find the right sword, helmet and coif, I'll have some Knights Templar garb to wear this year also. If you see me, come on up and introduce yourself. It's all good in the beautiful atmosphere of New Market Village.

My rogue and I are hard to miss. "Briar Rose" and "Jean-Paul Flamingo" will be at TRF. "Jean-Paul" is also bringing his brother back to faire, but this time with his lovely lady. He was absent from Scarby this year because of a nasty situation with a lady of the spanish court /shutters.

Every other year I am dragged shop to shop kitting someone out. This year I am determined to see more shows. Since I know where to look for all of you I may have to talk the rogues into making their way over to the Prince of Wales after the chain mail fashion show. There is no way they are missing that.

Sir Mammerus Snobrificus (aka Dednek, aka Dennis) and I will be working the Emerald Merchant just about every weekend selling wondrous games and puzzles. Look for the small (12x12) tent back towards the falconers area. We will try to make the Pub meet if we can get away, at least one of us should be there. And we shall be camping with Phoenix Risen at the very least the big 3, but probably much more often. You also can usually find us hanging out around rev's Armour Werx at least once or twice a day.

We have one definite trip planned for this season with the whole family, hopefully a second adults only trip with friends. I'll for sure be winged on the family trip, the second...who knows. Make sure to come to the POW at noon for the daily Meet n' Greet both days through the whole season, to watch the parade and be apart of the group photo (which happens major weekends, when we have a photographer to take it (that isn't me.))

I am extremely shy also but you need to remember that we really aren't strangers to you! How long have you been here now?? I try to remember pics and names, which is difficult because I have a horrible memory, and then I feel like I have a reason to approach someone. I "know" them just haven't met them face to face.
I blend easily into the background, you'll never be able to spot me....

Hi Esc! I'm going to try to make it to TRF this weekend also. There is a meet and greet at the Prince Of Wales Pub every day immediately after the parade at noon. Hope to see you and Leinad there!
I've heard about the meet and greet at the POW. The problem is that I'm distracted very easily, time has no meaning, and I'm going to be in a totally new place. Remembering when, finding the spot, and not getting distracted *chuckling* well, that's hoping for a lot.

I find life is easier to just get into faire, get our breakfast, then head to the PoW pub. Along the way we will meet people, hug/chat and move along, and end up their, usually, just as everyone else start trickling in (read before the beer line is too long).

Ehh give him time. he will succumb to it all. you should try to rental place at the gate next time. That way he wont have to buy it first.

Yeah we just kind of camp where ever there is a spot that is open. Usually we are close to the on-site store and our camp group has grown this year, so we might be needing a bigger area than usual. Ill stop by with my fiance and some friends to come meet everyone, thanks for the invite. We are just as fun as everyone else, i earned a nick name by the bon fire as "Whiskey boy" a couple years back.

Had to surf through this whole thread to refresh my memory on faces.. hopefully i'll recognize *somebody* while I'm out at faire today.. I'm so excited!!! It's been two years!!
I'm going full out toga and ivy wreath and roman rope sandals and everything for the roman bachannal theme (hell, I have the sandals on already, and it's only 6:30 am.. I can't sleep, and I figured I'd need more time to get them tied write and make sure it doesn't hurt to walk in them tied this way). If I decide I don't look *too* much like a newb, I may even enter the toga contest, hehe.
Can't wait to see everyone, I'll be standing around PoW looking forlorn and lonely trying to find anyone I recognize after the parade, just in case the meet 'n greets still happen :) (I'll be the one in the pretending that rope is a form of jewelry, huzzah)

Ah, JuJu. I believe it in the usual manner that the best things come from top shelf..mainly booze and bewbs, now to add to the list. As for bewbs, or for the alphanumeric l33tist (looking at you JuJu) b3wb...Yes, I am one. It is often that we become or take on the characteristics of the things which we devote our lives too. And do I love me some bewbs, playtex prisons, gazongas..umm...I could go on for days. I promise, I have tact and decorum and am very gentlemanly when I choose to be. Scout's honour. Should also be noted I was never a Boy Scout, so take that as you will. As for the meeting of the faces behind the text, I intend to meet all you eventually. I would have aleady, if not for (to ans er your last question) money keeping me from faire so far. BUT, LO, I shall be there the last weekend, early friday-sunday, going in on sat &sunday. Thanks!! I'm a big fan of hair flowers (those two were actually nabbed out of my stock one year, my sister and I make them to sell at faires, hehe). I wish had more opportunities to wear them. The toga I just kinda made up as I went- It was a little bulky, but I couldn't bear to cut the rust/orange scarf that I used for the underlayer. Who knows when I'll need it for some other nutty last-minute outfit? :)

So...it is 9 days before I am to amass me and my ilk at faire. I hate anything before 7 days when I am counting down to something. It's like watching water boil. Alright clanners. I aim to find you lot when I come down Friday night. I wish to know where and which I am welcome in. I know most of you at least well enough to know you open up your camps to people who don't act like shites and that is okay..I only play one on tv. But, I double check on all things, heck, even things I sometimes am sure I know. So, sound off on a who and where...I plan on throwing a few of my friends to the wolves, as it were. By that I mean, bringing them with so they can meet the people I talk about too much....because it's not like I don't start off a few of my conversations with them on a day to day basis with, "On the R/F forum today...," and then usually throw something in there about Fraser that may or may not be true.

Well, the Mistress of the Foundry finds it funny to flog me for the entertainment of the patrons. She says it's funny the way I whine and whimper. So, she flogs me until someone makes a purchase. Unfortunately, people enjoy seeing me beaten so much, that they don't bother buying anything. SO.... I wind up with a bright pink and sore tucas by the end of the day. Makes for interesting campfire/dinner conversation, as Breandan probably remembers.
And yes, I'm a pretty good shot with my bricks... the blowtorch is for my personal enjoyment.
