Well, there's only one more weekend left for the MIRF season and I'm already getting bummed. This years season has been great to say the least. We've had a blast meeting up with everyone, we made LOTS of new friends, I have tons of good shots and our kids have become full blown Rennie's. ;)
We will miss everyone and are already looking forward to the 2010 season!
Jon.
yuppers and i missed just about all of mirf due to work and what not.. and will miss the last weekend.. but its all good.. i will still be at a faire.. just not mirf.. will be at a different one helping ladyfair.
This season has been amazing at MRF. It always goes by to fast.
So said that this is going to be the last weekend of festival. It has been a great run this year!
Sad to say this past Saturday, 9/26, was the last for me this season. Just won't be able to take it this weekend. Was even given a free pass to return this coming Sunday for a "Customer Appreciation" gathering from one of the vendors, but won't be able to make it. Rats! Season went by much too fast.
Lot's more photos to post, but that's going slow. It's Senior Photo time and that takes priority.
Cheers to you all and it was great meeting new faces this year as well as old.
Thanks for the good memories!

As with you 9/26 is the last day (actually our only day) at MiRF. It was very nice meeting you as well :D.
It maybe the end of this wonderful festival but the festival season still goes on. There is also MMRF to look forward to aswell. We shall be there. :)
It was good to meet you both as well, Celtic Lady. It was fortune that I was there the only weekend that you were able to attend.
I believe it was Lady Margaret that I also met that day, near the coffee shop. (I'm absolutely horrid at remembering names.)

Right in one! It was indeed me. It was very nice meeting you face to face finally!
I was fortunate enough to meet lady Margaret in person this year as well, she's just as much a little stinker in person as on here, ;D Glad to have made your acquaintance m'lady.
:'( ....another season come and gone. was too rainy/cold to go yesterday (sat.). I had planned to go today, but it's again, too miserable. sun did shine, but not in the mood. wanted to give big hugs goodbye.
wanted to give pics to others. wanted to take those mugs to those people. wanted to see "All's Faire". couldn't see paying the $20.00 and gas $ to get up there, to be damp/windblown /walk thru mud. HOpe everyone had a good season.
Hopefully it will be warm enough to see M.M.R.F. or the captain hook bar party. in Nov.
It was a bit cold and it rained a few times but the sun came out too. We talked with lots of people for the last time but look forward to seeing everyone next season.
Jon.

Ray puts on an excellent show!
Jon.
The bittersweet reality that another year of Faire has come and gone. :'(
Barb and I will miss each and every one of our good friends that we have had the pleasure of knowing through MiRF.
I consider many of my Ren friends as extended family. The list is too long to mention here, but most know who you are. We still have the Masque to look forward to, and I think we will try to make Mid-Michigan this year if finances allow.
The cast is great, but as our wonderful Queen put it so eloquently...it is the patrons that make MiRF what it is, the best darn Faire around. Thank you each and every one for making this year's run an enjoyable one yet again

Glad to hear you've made it home safe and sound. Until we meet again {{HUGS}}!
You are the best Madge, brightest blessings to you for all you bring to our faire. Can't wait until we see you again next year.
Good to see you back home Madge, safe and sound. Enjoy your British goodies that Claire, Lucy and I gave you. ;)
Yeah, gypsyqueenie, was supposed to leave Monday afternoon, but I have the fair funk too and so decided to rest up and leave Tuesday morning. Drove straight through and arrived in the very early a.m Wednesday.
Today was HOT! almost, and note I said almost, makes me wish for MI again!
I got to sleep past 6AM today! First weekend day I was able to do that since July 11.
Great run, but glad for the break.
Now to clean all of the equipment, launder the costumes, clean and polish the leather, and put everything in storage.

Repair boots, add new soles etc.
Have reconstructive knee surgery, I skipped it in July for some odd reason....
As we packed for the first non-ren weekend last Friday, it seemed very strange to not be grabbing garb, boots, flasks......flask filling supplies.........but we still spent the weekend with ren friends, only this time at a casino. (Firekeepers by the way, much fun.) Ren friends truly are the best, and we shall miss seeing you all.....until next season!
I was able to visit on two weekends this year, and every year seems to build on the sucess of the last. Thanks for being such a big part of my life's enjoyment, even if I only get to spend three days of my year at MiRF.
Thinking and planning already for next year, but we are hoping to have another little one by the time Faire rolls around (no good news yet though) and that could impact travel plans for the end of the summer and into the fall next year. We'll have to see.
Thanks everyone.
No rest at all here... Jumped right into rehearsal for Night of the Living Dead, which opens Oct.22nd. See here for more:

well we did indeed rest and snuggle (shadbolt8 tell Liz) since we haven't slept in since mid May until we finally got motivated and started doing stuff around the house that we haven't done since mid May. I understand totally Dale. Although the knee thing sounds terrible - just think of all the great canes you get to use for real now.
Madge ewwwwwe - no rest for the wicked I see
