Title: Employee's
Post by: Shandi on October 12, 2009, 05:29:58 PM
After the gates close and everyone is shut down do you all meet anywhere on site? other then going to the playtron's camp site? I went home Sunday night cuz I was lonely and didn't want to sit in my damp tent and read. I just wondered if there are any get together's on the grounds to talk ? jam sessions? anything like that? I was told there is dancing most saturday nights weather permiting. I have to meet some new friends other then my employer :) she's great but we need some time apart after 12 hours.

Starting next weekend there will probably be swing dancing on the Odeon Stage, at least there has been the last few years.  Usually starts around 9.

When the weather's not so bad, there's usually all sorts of ruckus on Sat night- the bottle rocket/marshmallow war between Ren Boots and the Gutenburg, swing dancing as mentioned, occassionally folks gathering in the chapel and/or arena, and the usual mass-gathering at the EB right after close. A lot of us also hit Magnolia Diner or one of the other restaurants in town.

And some of us just die from exhaustion. I do not know how anyone finds the time to do as much Hell rasing as I hear about. By the time I am off stage at the end of the day all I can think about is my Warm/Cold bed in my camper.. I think I am just getting old.... Oh well we will see if I can find my younger self in the weeks to come.

it's not about partying, I was so whipped saturday night I couldn't sleep. I needed to unwind, talk I guess, I don't drink so i can use that to loosen up a bit. I ended up walking the grounds at 3:00 am alone trying to work off some of my excess that was after laying in bed for hours. I was amazed at how tierd I was after working all day, my job isn't high stress or work but standing and smiling is alot of work.  I ended up coming home Sunday night beacuse I didn't want another damp night and I was lonely... :)
I am so sore today and yesterday! not sure how I got so sore unless it was walking in the mud and sliding some.

I will see if I have my fairelegs by then. Come see the show we are on stage three times a day. 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30 at the Sea Devil.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that we're partying inside, it's more like social gatherings akin to a barbecue (the Ren Boot/Gutenburg exchange of random pyrotechnics notwithstanding) most of the time. The exception is AHE, when there's some VERY bizarre parties that go on *coughgutenweencough*

You guys have more parties out in Patrons than we ever do inside, we just have electricity ;)

You & me both, Broadside...... After an all day stint of "being on" all I want to do is go home to my warm bath & my fuzzy dogs & go to bed...... guess I'm getting old too...

Actually, participants are discouraged from visiting the patron camping areas.

Oh god... what happened?
When I came downstairs I was informed that a "woman in a red and black dress with gigantic boobs" had asked for me, which then spurred a chorus of "Yeah, gigantanormous boobs", "Aim for the cleavage, can't miss", "HUGE tracts of land!" and similar comments from everyone assembled :D
