Title: Knarly Knot- wooden mug question
Post by: mehan on November 05, 2009, 12:33:37 PM
Would someone mind answering and/or checking on something for me?  After the faire season ended for me, a non-rennie at work asked me about wooden mugs.  She wants one that is finished on the inside with a clear finish.  I don't know if the Knarly Knot mugs are clear inside or not - and mine is umpteen years old and the place isn't in biz anymore.

Or - if anyone has other suggestions, I am open!

Define "Clear Inside".  My Knarly Knot has a clear coat inside that makes it very reflective.  And Knarly Knot is very much still in business.  Their new booth at TRF is located directly across from the Excaliber/Rev Leather booth.   Left turn inside main gate, Right turn at Moresca's just past POW pub, and head down to toward the end of the lane.  it will be on your right.  Holley's Farie Effects is across the way catty corner.

Hope that wasn't too confusing.  Trf really needs to name the lanes around the village, that would make giving directions so much easier.

Yup, our mugs have a clear coating inside.  Our booth number at TRF is 312 if that helps. We also sell on online if your friend wanted to peruse.

I'll add my endorsment for Knarly-Knot's mugs as well as their other products.  We bought a cutting board opening weekend and love it.   They also do great custom work.

Excellent! Knarly Knot is the link I will send her.  I apologize if I wasn't clear, I never intended to intimate that Knarly Knot was no longer in biz, I meant that the vendor I bought mine years ago (she was looking at the pic on the wall of my office) was no longer in biz.  He was a Maryland vendor that shamefully passed away (much too young) a few years back.    I had heard people speak very kindly about Knarly Knot, but as we are east coast, and I couldn't tell from the website - I thought I would ask you gentle folk to help me out.

And help me out you did!  Thank you.

I love my Knarly Knot mug, big and nice and light. I also just acquired one of her new wooden shot "glasses", so cool!

My wife just picked up a cutting board on halloween weekend.  I'm hoping to become independently wealthy in order to commission Knarly Knot to make a full dinner set for me.

I got a cedar and ash mug this past weekend (11/07-11/08) to add to my collection.

Almost had the shopkeeper auction off my woman to Da German Brothers (Yah!) while I was paying for it.  :D
