Title: Tickets and Camping
Post by: seaj1877 on November 20, 2009, 02:03:22 AM
We won't make it there till 9 or 10 Friday night and were planing on getting weekend passes at the gate. Will we be able to camp Friday night? Or do we have to have tickets before we can getting a camping ticket. Can we get tickets, festival and camping, at the guard booth or something when we get there Friday night?

I know its a little late to be asking but we were thinking we would we get our tix at Market Basket but they don't have the weekend passes. Duh! Just trying to save a little $ so we can have more to spend once we get there.  ;D

So unorganized but this was a last minute thing for us.

Also, in the long run, is it cheaper to get a weekend pass, for say, two people, than it is to buy four single day tickets?

I do believe it is cheaper to buy the 2 day pass than the day passes.

Yes, if you buy a weekend pass, it's $16 a day, or a total of $32.  Tickets are the gate are $21.  Discount tickets are $19.  I do know that they will check for a ticket when you arrive at the gate for camping.  I do not know if they are selling weekend passes at the guard booth, but I think they are at least selling single day tickets at gate price.

So:

2 weekend passes = $64
4 day trip discount = $76
4 day trip full price = $92 (edited for change in price)

I don't know who to ask if they sell weekend passes at the guard booth...hopefully someone will chime in on that.

Maybe you can trade the gate tickets in for a weekend ticket at the gate Sat morning?  YOu could ask the guards at the camping gate...

This is why I always buy a bunch on-line before Sept.25th ($16)!
And I know people that usually have a spare pass or two.. ;D

My wife wonders why I try to see all the shows, I don't wanna pay just to go to a weird shopping mall!

I guess that's what I did last year. Paid to go to a weird shopping mall. All we did was shop. This year I am hoping to catch some shows.

Well I am off. Time to hit the road. No rain yet. Guess it is waiting on me to get there, then it will start raining so we can have the fun of setting the tent up in the rain. Ha.
