Texas Renaissance Festival / Re: Let The Countdown Begin!

Ok...so we did our camping trip heroes and villains weekend. Overall, not much has changed in faire or the campgrounds. The campgrounds were quieter, which I assume is because of less clans. There were less horns, huzzahs, and what my sister calls "woo woo birds". We tend to mostly stick to our camp, but walking and driving around there were still tons of people and camps.  Our row was pretty packed by Saturday morning. COB turned their stage back towards the bonfire which, once again, put a damper on it. There were plenty of people at the drum circle but at times it was hard to hear. There did appear to be someone on a cart discreetly monitoring the fire. COB had a live band playing at the time and not naked Jenga but I don't know if that happened at some point. The map said the vendors and food trucks would be on one of rows but they were in their usual spot when we went. I didn't see any difference at the faire, it was business as usual. For anyone still going out that hasn't bought tickets, wait until that week and watch for a discount code on FB. We were able to get a 20% discount on entry and camping! ;D

Smaller Southern Faires / Tulsa Metro Renaissance Potent...
Last post by Craigmeister - November 11, 2025, 12:00:26 AM
I can now present the large project I have been working on for a month & a half.  I visited 11 parks in the Tulsa Metro area, making videos showing the amenities each would provide in holding a Renfaire in them.

'Tis high time that someone starts a Renfaire around Tulsa again.  It is too large of a city not to have a Renfaire.  800,000 people live in the Metro!  Catch just 1% of them & have 8,000 people walk through your gates.  That would be a very successful starting faire!

There are links to tips on a running a Renfaire in the video's description.  Feel free to contact me if & when you decide to bring a Renfaire to Tulsa County.  Some friends & I will be happy to assist you.  Huzzah!
