Unfortunately most of the a-hats that I've come across have had too much alcohol, not pot...and too much of a possessive, high and mighty attitude.  ::)

Apparently they made COB and some others shut down last night due to noise after Midnight. Seeing reports on FB pages.

Well, I don't know. My way of thinking, if they keep this up every weekend till the end of the season, it may actually become a decent place to camp again, because they'll scare off all the a-hats that have ruined TRF camping for us.

Sorry they messed up your night though Fraser. And the above is simply wishful thinking on my part (o:

I can vouch for the '63 date.  I started attending in Agoura off Kanan Road in about '66 with my parents and their friends, who had a tapestry shop at the Faire. I attended every year until I was in high school in the 70's.  The L. A. Times bought the Faire - I think it might have been in '76? - and I lost track of it after about 1980.

LA's Pacifica radio station KPFK worked with the Pattersons to bring the fair to life. Here's a lovely pastiche of images and music broadcast by KPFK at the first Faire.

Sounds over the top to me.  Assuming adjacent camps are all engaged in the same activity isn't professional at all.

The Captain of the Beefeaters retired as says that he has no inclination to keep the site running.

Dang ... loved that site.

Oops ... I did not know that.  Hope it wasn't a bad experience.  Thanks, Ravic.

Wow! That is pretty shocking! I've never heard of such heavy handedness before!

Are you thinking of adult gumbos or adolescent gumbos?
