[Merlin the Elder]

A legend of my earlier years, James Arness, a.k.a. Matt Dillon of Gunsmoke, died today at the ripe old age of 88.

Jack Kevorkian, a philosophical hero of mine also died, age 83. They played Bach over the intercom for him as he died. Very cool, although I want The Who serenading me out.

I hope they both felt their life meant something to others. That's what makes the ride worth while.
