 Ok, that had me.  I'm a Californian, and I was pronouncing it CAT-uh-Lee-nuh, like hte island.  

That's ok- most people don't think about the Spanish pronunciation.

Our last name is Dowe.  I always say like the Dow Jones Industrial or Dow Chemicals without the money.

Many people pronounce it like the word "owe" with a D in front of it.  Like dough that you bake with.

Nothing too complex about it, except my Dad used to call me "Brother Dave", due to his listening to Brother Dave Gardner back in the 1960's.   ;)  ;D

I've been using mine in SF cons for since 1994.  When I started doing anime cons in '06, people thought it was Japanese and tried pronouncing it. (it's an acronym)

Could be B-OH-b, I suppose... but I'm pretty sure you have to have at least 2 o's for it to make the oooo sound.  :P
