I happened to stumble on this show about a week ago while convalescing from surgery and watched 4 episodes back to back (to back... ;)).  Got sucked in pretty quickly.  I like that the show is about skills and improving them, not fake love stories or tricked out dance moves (gag).

Anyway... was so glad to see Megan go last night.  She has some skill but it's too early in her career for her to have lasted as long as she did on this show.  I agree, they were keeping her as "eye candy", which bothered me a lot.

My fave so far was the bride/groom switch.  I thought the Elvis and pregnant bride was hilalrious, although the judges didn't like them at all for the technical aspects.

Last nights, "disguise yourself" thing was meh.  Tate's dude was just gross although I couldn't help but laugh at the "mouth breathing" part.  LOL

I'm eager to see how this plays out.

I must say, I was sucked into the show from the very beginning! I was voting for Tate... he was the cute one  :D

Conner wasn't too bad, but I wanted to see Tate win.

I havent seen it every single time but halfway enjoyed it the times I did...

I have seen this from the very first episode and love the show. I have a friend that has already gone out to try for the second season.

I did hate to see Tom go especially i loved his creation on the first episode over gage who won. But why we went home over megan is his zombie looked so much like any zombie you would see in eveery zombie movie and they wanted something unusual. Megans was unusual even though she put way to much blood on it which is a sign of trying to cover stuff, she carved the face similar to the muscle tecture under there face.

Sam is great but through this whole thing she has played it safe and until the one when she made up herself has never won. Now as for connor he does great work but he has also been in the industry and has worked on movies so my choice is tate.

I liked tate on the disguise yourself and was great he went so over board. Have to remember he had to fool his girlfriend that does the same thing for a living as well so he had to go to the point she wouldn't want to look at him.

My 2 cents. Oh and going to watch the final episode tonight to see who really wins

Ok I am waiting for you guys to see the last episode so we can talk about it.
I was fuming when I watched it last night (all praise dvr), definitely not happy with the outcome.

Personally I don't think Connor should have wont the bride and groom switch- his groom looked like wesley snipes with make up on- and not even the good make up like in "To Wong Fu".
I think Tate should have won that one.

I agree that Megan was only on there to stir up trouble and look cute.

Watched the final last night.  Can't say that I was surprised by the outcome.

I *loved* Gage's take on the final challenge.  It was creepy in that way that sticks with you long after you don't see it anymore.  The hands pushing out of the stomach on the witch...  The gluttonous, greedy little girl, her cheeks all puffed from stuffing them with candy...  *shudder!*

Tate, his stuff always pushed the limits.  I really liked that about him.  He has good attention to detail but his stuff looks a bit costumy to me.  Perhaps it's just not my style so it doesn't strike a cord with me.  He's so creative, though.  I think he' be great as a team member.  Take the ideas and push them, with help to keep it from becoming too graphic novel type.

Connor seems to have the ability to get the basics down solidly but he lacks Tate's imagination.  Connor's stuff was technically good, but imaginatively (is that a word?!) dull.  Although I must say his work on the final was low key, but excellent.  I especially loved the bladder on the frog dude.

I think I'll watch the 2nd season from the beggining.  This one I didn't see until the last 5 or 6.

See I think Tate should have won for imagination alone, he didn't just take it to a new level, he created a whole history, motivation and he totally twisted it around.

Connors execution is great but very much lacked imagination.
How was that a "haunted" frog prince??

I LOVED his witch and the air bladder, but the whole thing didn't stick with me.

I agree Gage's was disturbing on a deep level.

Personally I think Tate must have inadvertently pissed off one of the judges, there were several times I think he should have won and didn't.
Even Connor knew that Tate is overall a more well rounded and better artist- he felt so inadequate next to Tate.

Well one thing Tate did comment on that might have list him the fraction of a deciel point that would made it over the top was the werewolf. I am not going to argue that wasn't an amazing suit BUT one of the judges was the director of "Rise of the Lyken" This guy knew werewolves.  He admitted it was a crap shoot with someone who knew their stuff for the suit yet went for it.

Connor was "clean." What I mean is all through the challange I don't think he ever had a really bad work.  I mean some of it may not have been win worthy but every time he did clean quality work.  As someone who does costumes for theater and films, having someone who can do the work well is a big thing.  Yes you can have a great idea, but if your work isn't solidly there every time.  It could be an issue.

Gage's work was down right creepy.  I honestly don't think he started to come into his own until my later in the show. The Hansel and Gretel was dang creepy but he wasnt' consistant through out the challanges.

All in all I would have no problem working with ANY of the finalists.  Some great stuff came out of this show if you ask me.
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.
