Since we have a pattern one I thought I would attempt to start a fabric swap page.

I've been blessed with my friend's mother's stash of fabrics, and  I have found there are alot of nice lengths of fabrics, I won't ever use.  Instead of them just sitting around gathering dust, I thought that we might put out what we have extra of, and what we are looking for.

If you are intrested post a 'willing to trade' list with rough estimates of length, and a 'wish' list with amounts.  Who knows what is is in someone else's stash that they won't use, that you have been looking for in your local stores? :)

Willing to Trade:
1-1.5 yard of Burgundy Velvet
Roughly 1/2 yard lengths of a golden yellow/orange , possible silk/cotton blend type fabric  (I have a tub full. They look to be cuttings from when a pattern is cut out from a dress shirt, or dress factory.)
Various ½-3/4 yards worth of various cotton print fabrics .
Roughly 2 yards of a lurex cotton blend pink/blue iridescent denim
3 yards of a dark olive crinkle gauze type fabric
Possibly a yard of Olive 14-16 whale corduroy
1-2 yard of olive  mid weight damask upholstery fabric (left overs from a gown I made)
3 yards of 100% cotton Navy Broadcloth (Bought for Red shirt)
3 yards of 100% Linen in Tomato Red (Bought for Shirt-value $20-25)-- The PP really wants a shirt of this.
2.5 yards of Gold Upholstery fabric (bought for Doublet)
2.5 yards of White Upholstery fabric (bought for Doublet)
3-4 yards of Green & black wool small plaid (Bought for skirt)
2-3 yard length of  black & gold 1.5-2" wide trim

Wish List:
Medium/ royal blue Velvet  - Ideally 2-3 yards, but would still take ½-1 yard.
Mid weight satins of all colors -  Ideally 1.5-3 yard lengths, but if I can get several colors, I would take ½ yard lengths of various colors.
Spandex- all colors, weights, and patterns – no less than ¼ yard pieces
Pleather - all colors and patterns no less than ¼ yard pieces
Bright color Jersey Knits – minimum 1 yard lengths
Pink fabrics – silk, velvet , brocades, linens- Ideally 2-3 yards, but would still take ½-1 yard.
Royal Purple or Plum fabrics-  – silk, velvet , brocades, cottons, linens- Ideally 2-3 yards, but would still take ½-1 yard.
1"-4" wide lace trim -  No less that ¼ yard (want to use for collars, cuffs and around hankies)
Wool/wool blends – Any color – ½ yard minimum
Silks/ silk blends - Any color – ½ yard minimum
Tartan fabric – cotton, wool, or blends – (to make a possible baby kilts)
Flamingo fabric -  no less than ½ yard – (Why?  You have to know the Pink Pirate ? )

I know I have other fabrics I would be willing to trade, and I'm sure there is some project I could post of wish list fabric for but for right now that is all I can think of.
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Sounds great!

I don't really have a wish list but might find something I want.
I have lots of fabric I could trade and a friend just gave me several yards of silk in varying colors she wants to get rid of.
I'll start going thru the stash this weekend.  I also have TONS of lace that I really don't want.

So I posted before reading your list because I didn't want to forget what I was thinking! ::)
I have the lace you want!  I was thinking about the red linen but maybe you could trade patterns for it?

I want silk!  What colors do you have, and what do you want to trade for it?

All kinds of lace, big and small.  If you have specifics let me know, otherwise I will post some general descriptions when I go thru it.

Several colors of silk; kinda rose, gold, cream I think?  I will look when I get home.  I don't know if she will trade or not.  She had intended on selling, just hadn't posted it yet!  I will ask.

Would you mind linking to it?  It may have gotten pushed down.  Thanks!

Can I get a closer shot of picture #2 the 3.75 yard one and picture #3 the 20 yards and the 6 yards?  You can PM me if that is easier to save space.

#10

The white with crosses used to be a table cloth.  It is now a 64"X11" strip.  It has some blue stains on it (no clue!) but I think it would make something really neat for a priest impression.

Green pattern is 58"X52"

Purple/mauve cloth is 62"X58"

The rest are really shiny scratchy materials.  My grandma used them for "chainmail" on dolls or other similar things.
Gold, two pieces, 90"X28" and 45"X14"
Purple/magenta, ~1X1yd with selvage, has been cut into and has a stitch up one part
Red, ~2X2yd with selvage, has been cut into and has a stitch up one part
Silver, ~1X1yd with selvage, has been cut into

More to come....

Gold                  53"X79"      Harvest
Purple               54"X178"     Bordeaux (it's really like a light raspberry)

My friend also has a full length off white chemise, size 10 (it would be big)-16 (it would be small) that she would like to trade (or sell).

I've been meaning to see if anyone would want to do this...I'll dig thru all my fabric this weekend and come up with a list (and pics as necessary) of all the stuff I have...I'm sure I'll see something in someone elses list that I will use.
Things are shaping up to be...
Pretty. Odd.
