We need some chatter about Sherwood in here like the TRF countdown thread.  I will start with what do you love about Sherwood?
Home Faire - Texas Renaissance Festival
Frequent - Scarborough, Four Winds, Sherwood, and Middlefaire as well.

The only thing I don't love is the eight hours it takes to get there from here.

I would love to give Sherwood Forest Faire a try!  I made it out almost every weekend to TRF, and I'm already dreading the long mundane season...
Alas, I don't think I have appropriate garb, and it would kill me to attend as a 'dane :)

My Cimmerian barbarian outfit is debuting at Sherwood, so no worries. Barbarians are always welcomed wherever we go, so say all those vulnerable loot-filled villages and monasteries :D

8 hours!   Sherwood is about 112 miles miles from my house, I generally can make that run in a little under 2 hours. The funny thing is, TRF is like 65 miles away and that trip takes about an hour and a half if I leave early enough to miss the traffic!

More or less, it takes us about 2 or 3 hours to get there, depending on traffic and construction, because we all know how FUN that can be! <sarcasm> lol... Since we'll be camping, the road trip might take a little longer, since we will be driving to the camping area, rather than the outskirts to a hotel.

Even so, we still cannot wait for Sherwood! I'll also be sporting a bigger baby belly, since our cub will be making their appearance a few months later! So now, I need to get some new garb ideas! lol...
*Short enough to not reach the pedals, tall enough for the rides at Six Flags!*

I'm splendid. That is all.

Vacation time has been approved!  I'll be there opening day!  May make a long weekend out of it and stay with my Grandmother in Giddings and go both days but for now I'm day tripping it.
