My not-quite-professional, but somewhat-in-the-know opinion, as an amateur photo-tweaker is this:

The photo was snapped by somebody standing just to the left of the groom, in the second right as the two of you were APPROACHING the cake with the blade, but just before you actually came into the frame. I believe this is the case because while the two of you in the wall mirror may seem deceptively close to the cake, there is also a notable reflection of your lower halves in the mirrored boxes (you can see the clothing, one side with groom and the other with bride, and the cake in the between the clothing and the mirror), but your HANDS are NOT in that reflection yet, where they would be if you were actually within cutting range of the cake.

Does that make sense? Anyway, awesome timing for a deceptive photo- even if unintentional

I know this thread is supposed to be for funny stuff, but I feel compelled to add this.  Please forgive the non-funny nature of my post.

That's not duck/duct tape.  It's called speed tape (or XX mph tape, where XX is the speed it's rated for), and is actually designed for making temporary repairs in the skin of aircraft.  This is ok because the skin of the airplane isn't really structural.  It's there to smooth out the airflow over the plane and to transfer loads to the structural part of the plane inside the skin.  So, it'd be a better reason to stop flying if there WASN'T tape there.

Ok, now that I've got that PSA out of my system, back to your regularly scheduled funny.

Judging by the filth on that airliners wing there are other maintanance issues that have also been fixed "temporarily".  I do note some airlines take better care of their fleet than others.  At least they scrubbed the area before putting down the tape.  I'd be more concerned with what made the hole in the first place!
