Artemisia

Wow, thanks guys. ::blush::

Black piping in 1.5" wide knife pleats. Thank you Colette Wolff.

You haven't had enough coffee unless you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.

Artemisia - amazing Steampunk outfit. The black-and-white details looks so nice. Wow.

Artemisia, fabulous!!

I am SO EXCITED!  I FINALLY, for the first time ever, have something to post in this thread!!  Only a little thing, but it allowed me to turn older garb pieces into a whole new look.

My Margo Anderson partlet:

I added the box-pleated ruffle.  This shot shows the machine blackwork a little better:

And here's a full shot of the new middles look, with Milord:

Except for the chemise (which was made by our own Silverstah), the farthingale, and the snood, I made everything (and I made Milord's doublet-thingy--one of my early, early projects.  Five years later, it's still his favorite item of garb.  :-\)  (I am wet because I was playing with a Newfoundland who was playing in a fountain.)

I finished the partlet a couple of weeks ago, but hadn't tried everything on until this morning--and I was totally psyched that everything looked exactly as I'd imagined it in my head.  Ha!!

Right nice there Gem. It came out pretty. It is always great when it looks like what you imagined. Me, now, I'm still waiting for that to happen. I always seem to edit mid process and head in a different direction so the final product is always a mystery. LOL.

Genievea Brookstone

Gem, that color looks absolutly beautiful on you. Nicely done!

How lovely!!!! I love the partlet, especially the box pleats!

operafantomet

Lovely stuff, Gem!! The pleats in the collar shapes so nicely around your neck.

I rather like the snood too.  :)

Gem, you look fantastic!  Huzzah and well done!  ;D
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

Syrilla

Very lovely.  It's a good finishing look.

Aside from the lovely work. I have two takes on this photo. At first glance I see pious and pensive. But looking again, I see that Mona Lisa smile and wonder what wicked thoughts you were so pensive over, good mistress?  :o LOL

DragonWing

:) Absolutely beautiful gem. Nice work.
