Great job on the Irish dress, Nissa! I'd love to see photos of it being worn!

Here is the finished skirt with the pinked guards!

I have some more photos on my dress diary!

I like the double rows you did.  It "spices" it up.  Very pretty.   ;D

I agree!

The 2 rows of striping on then skirt makes the ensemble come together.

I guess I lied before, the project is truly complete now.  I managed to sew up a pair of sleeves before the last weekend of MI Ren Fest.  I also added a hat to complete the look.

Looks wonderful. You can really see how the details bring it all together.

Thank you.  I really enjoyed putting it all together.  Time to start planning for my next project  ;D

Also Dona, thanks for your help with the sleeves.  I scraped the pattern and used your instructions, they came out very nice.

  Bravo Sir Niall!!!

Isn't it fun making your own garb?? One learns so much, one cannotn wait to make something new. I plan some new grab for the Earl and Me for 2013.

Oh, my--look at you two! That is SPLENDID!!

Can you tell us more about the sleeves on the blue gown? I love the way you have them trimmed out.

Also, love both your smocks! (I am in the middle of making a high-necked smock with ruffled collar and cuffs, and am making micro-adjustments to the lengths of the cuff vs the ruffles... ::))

Really, I think we want more details on these projects overall.  ;D

These two gowns were made for Tara and Jilly Davis, some of you from MN may remember Jordan Davis from being Queen Rose for a day last year. Anyway, they needed something pretty to wear, and this was the result. :)

The sleeves were trimmed using the same trim as the gown running down each of the center sides and around the cuff. Unfortunately I didn't think to get detailed pictures of the sleeves - or the high necked shir. :( I actually didn't have a pattern for the shirt, I just used the measurements I had and made up my own pattern. It turned out great though.

Here is a small project I finished recently for a friend's baby shower.
