Castle Crine is located in County Clare, Ireland.map coordinates 52.758338, -8.756016The original castle was simply a round tower. In the eighteenth century, the Butler family incorporated it into a large mansion. Its somehow poetic that the only portion still standing is a part of the round tower. The property is privately owned and the restored gate lodge is the only portion accesible to the public.4castle_crine.jpgCrine_back_1998.jpgCrine_Opposite_2003.jpgCrine_Front_1928.jpg__________________________________Restored Gate LodgeCrine_Lodge_1998.jpg
