White Hart Renaissance Faire is on track for opening this weekend. There is an opportunity for those wanting to try out new acts or to volunteer their performance skills as the Tinker's Stage will be open and free this year.

The faire runs: June 19-20, and June 26-27, 2010 and is located near Hartville, MO in the Ozarks.

Don Quixote

We just completed our first weekend at White Hart Faire near Hartville in the Missouri Ozarks Country. The pickle purveying business was pretty brisk and we had a lot fun interacting with patrons.

I have got to tell you, White Hart is probably one of the "best kept secrets" in the faire circuit. For the patron it offers a wide range of entertainment from musical and animal stage acts, strolling minstrels, lane performers and of course Her Majesty's Court complete with a court foole.

Vendors offer the obligatory turkey leg, burgers, hot dogs for $1, tarts, flavored 'ades, soft drinks, assorted treats and our own pickles on a stick.

The pub is fully stocked with stouts, ales and wines with the prices comparable and perhaps even less in price than a contemporary bar.

This year the gate price is a mere $5 (10 and under free), combined with the very reasonable food prices makes this faire an extraordinary and unique bargain. Even if you have to drive a great distance to get there, it is still very affordable and well worth it. All you are really going spend much on is the gas getting here. Camping on site could probably worked out too, if you wish.

White Hart Faire runs two weekends this year through June 27, 10am - 6 pm.
