And make sure they have enough water in this heat/humidity!  If you are hot, so are they!  They have a fur coat on, and can't tell you they are hot.

Trip came out with me for about 3 hours today... he was quite warm. I gave him blue Gatorade to replenish his electrolytes but he didn't seem to like it much.  

(Yes, dogs can have Gatorade too, in moderation.)

Oh, and the "Doggie Bag" you get when you bring your pet is a total joke. Not that I care - I didn't even know there was such a thing and it's definitely not why I brought Trip out... but they give you this plastic bag with paw prints on it (okay, kind of cute), and inside the plastic bag is.... a flyer for BOGO at one of the pet-focused booths. That's it. It made me laugh.
