   I seriously doubt the intelligence of anyone (famous or not) who is dumb enough to knowingly make a video of themselves doing something they know will destroy them if it gets out.  It just takes a special kind of dumb (or an incredibly inflated ego) to potentially expose yourself in that way,  certainly not a good character trait for anyone in a position of  responsibility.  Thankfully these people tend to get culled like this.

Ok I'm calling serious "bull crap" on this one.  If anyone knows a ferret there is not WAY  a ferret could do that. 

On the micro fine chance a ferret COULD do that they don't have that big of stomaches. If they even thought about doing that it would take DAYS for them to do that. Where were the parents while this was happening?

The family had a rottwiler, have they thought to check THAT animal's stomache?  Have they thought, maybe it could be rats that did it?

I'm sorry but the weasels I know would no way do what these people are suggesting, even if they WERE starving to death!

I thought the same thing.   My bet would be the dog or rats.
   I have owned ferrets on and off over the years; and I have never received more than an irritated nip.   Truly tamed ferrets are not disposed to bite, and if it wasn't trained, what the heck would you be thinking to let a feral animal loose around the house!? 
The kid had to have been screaming it's head off the entire time it was being bitten. Where the He!! were the parents!?

According to the news reports one was 'asleep' in the same room with the child.  If a child is screaming as much as you would think it would if it was having that done to that, why didn't they hear it sooner?

The way they say they threw the ferret into the fridge or dishwasher and killed it, the child had to be near the food sources, so it is possible of wild rats or maybe opossums.

It is just all around fishy to me. However i know 'someone' is going to use this as a case study for why ferrets are vicious and dangerous animals.

I'm going to wait for more information on that story about the ferret. It was so far out there, I looked it up to make sure it hadn't shown up on Snopes.

But if I may divert your attention for a moment...I'm sure you have heard of the rain (not reign) of birds in Beebe, Arkansas a few days ago, when 4-5000 blackbirds fell dead from the sky in a 1-square mile area.

  Can't decide whether this belongs in the Weird News or the Rant thread....But WTF? You would have thought that these folks at least would choose a British porcelain company since the Chinese are already making a killing on this churning out cheap souvenirs.  
What could have been an excellent 'PC' moment for the Firm, turned into a public relations fiasco.  
 I don't know why but I expected better of the Royal Family than this....
