Ghost city that Appears Above Chinese River

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/06/27/lost-civilization-appears-above-chinese-river/?test=faces

The giant mirage appeared across the skyline in East China earlier this month after heavy rainfall and humid conditions covered the Xin'an River.

As mist settled over the river at dusk, tall buildings appeared to rise from nowhere, leading residents in nearby Huanshan City to speculate that the vision may be a "vortex" to a lost civilization.

That is beyond cool.  It's a reasonably rare phenomenon that some meteorologists believe is responsible for the 'Flying Dutchman'  sightings.  You can imagine how a sailor of a few centuries ago would react to this....

NetRule#1~Never send an email that you wouldn't want everybody on the internet to see~

I have not seen the entire message and will reserve judgment until I do, but since the excerpts looked a little biased to me, I went to the link below.
Though the email here is stillnot shown in it's entirety; it does look like the future (step) Mom-in-law went way over the line.  Seems she is more concerned that her step-sons' choice of bride will bring her social status down, more than she is concerned about her prospective daughter in law's manners.
Is she is trying to get the couple to call it off by showing how vicious she is?

"You regularly draw attention to yourself. Perhaps you should ask yourself why. No one gets married in a castle unless they own it. It is brash, celebrity style behaviour."

Wait. You mean, it's uncouth behaviour to get married in a castle? I think the MIL is crazy!

     This is just too odd.
What the hey does being gay have to do with anything except sexuality?  I don't recall history books emphasizing the sexual preferences of some general or other historically important figure one way or the other....This is just so irrelevant.

I think it was just kind of a preemptive strike against the sort of bill that Tennessee passed.  You're right. Gay should only be about sexuality, but so many people try to make it out to be so much more, and are completely irrational when it comes to discussing the difference between one person and another, be it sexuality or anything else. It's so ridiculous to have to go to these lengths just to convince people that this is supposed to be a free country. Sometimes, we fail miserably.

Woman Faces Jail Time For Growing Vegetable Garden in Her Own Front Lawn

Ok she as a rather nicely landscape vegtable garden in her front lawn because the city tore up her front lawn due to sewage drain issues. And you are sending her to jail why?
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Lady Christina de Pond

yeah i don't understand either i mean it is her front yard and they did tear it up why can't she plant what she wants?
