Judging by the dearth of postings about PARF this Season, it would appear that nothing is happening there!!! I have missed 2 weekends (went to other Faires) but will be there the remaining four weekends. The Faire seems smaller this year, with a number of previous contract acts not in attendance. The Professional cast is good, as always, and the Blackfryrs have a talented, enthusiastic group. Katherine Campbell has positively blossomed as Queen Elizabeth, with Lee Jordan (Sir Francis Drake) and Taylor Tutt (Sir Walter Raleigh) lending firm support. Josh Rice as Edward De Vere is a stand out hoot. The Chess Game and Joust are not to be missed. Finally, Looney Lucy and Ploppy have a new X Rated show that will leave you in tears. Best of all, the weather has been most cooperative this year with just a little bit of rain but no Faire closing deluges as in previous years. See you at the Faire............  The Bubble Wright

I look forward to seeing all of these this weekend.  Was at Maryland last weekend and continuing my mini tour. Can't wait to get there.

Its been a really great season so far. The weather is actually cooperating (guess we built up some good rain-karma from last year's monsoon season, only had one really wet day so far) and the crowds have been good. I'm thinking there just aren't many R/F-ers around Mt. Hope, but I've spied a few of you. There's still a few weeks left to get out here for everyone else!

This coming weekend is Wine Harvest, then the next three weekends are all Halloween Daze and Spooky Knights.

Alot of the "regulars' are members of www.parenfaire.net, the "dot-netters" and I am sure they have been posting there.   Although there seems to be less posting there than there has been in past years.

Of interest on the 'dot-net" site is the Hotness Contest, which has none other than our own moderator, Colleen McGuinness, aka Eileen Daub, in the competition.  Would be nice if a few R/F people wandered over there and voted for her. It's easy to join up.  You can vote once per day.

PS: Runs and hides while a highly embarrassed Eileen seeks him out with her "cudgel".
