Mythopoeic Society in Alabama
« on: October 29, 2010, 12:10:35 PM »
Hi Fellow Alabamians (and friendly neighbors),

Alphonse and I are wanting to create a chapter of the Mythopoeic Society here in northern AL. The Mythopoeic Society celebrates the literature of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis and other excellent fantasy in that vein. You don't have to be a member of the society to become a member of a chapter. We see this as an excuse to take up characters outside of fair and generally connect with others who enjoy fantasy. Exactly what we do as a group will remain up in the air until we get people together. Renmail me if you're curious. We're in the Guntersville area. Meetings could rotate but further than a 2hr drive probably isn't realistic for regular attendance.
I am but mad north-northwest; when the wind is southerly, I know a hawk from a handsaw. --Shakespeare via Hamlet.
