CONVergence 2011 is just around the corner...

Htzzah and well met to all!

I will be attending CONVergence again this year for the full 4 days, 30 June thru 3 July. I will be more of a participant this time around with volunteering in Registration, Badge checking, etc.

I have a room at the Sheraton booked for 5 days. If anyone is going, but do not have accommodations as of yet, I have room to share. If anyone is interested in sharing a room with me, I DO NOT BITE, please PM me. Everybody wins!

I am on the Registration crew as well as Badge Checking this year. Helping out in the Green Room too for Masqurade. I will be working my tail off.

CONVergence is the happening Conventiuon of the year! The amount of work that goes into transforming the Sheraton to a 2nd home for 5 days is so WORTH it! STEAMPUNK is the theme for this year. Up to 5,000 plus are expected to attend this year.

Panels galore, Themed room parties, people dressed in costume all weekend long in their favorite gene, Movies from Cinema Rex that will feature classics from the late 20's to current Independent films, and so much more for the Sci-Fi/Fantasy fan to get in in 5 days.

Anyone who is registered for CONVergence this year are asked to pick up their Registration packets on Saturday, June 25th at the Waterbury Building. This is a way to avoid mass confusion when the COnvention starts to ease the traffic of picking up your packets on the 30th of June.

A big THANK YOU to the many CONVergence members who came by yesterday to the Waterbury Buildiong to pick up their badges. Publications were not ready in time to be picked up. That will be available come Thursday morning when the Convention officially kicks off.

Those who are attending and have not picked up their badges, be warned that Registration will be a madhouse. Be patient and we will get to you. REGISTRATION will be set up in the Garden Court area on Thursday. There will be signs out saying where is what.

Yeah thank you for posting it. My husband tried to make it but failed while I cleaned carpets and went through the craft box.

I am just sad that this year since I bought a house I didn't have time to finish a costume at all. I am looking forward to seeing people out there though!
