Found this list of top 10 meads you should try :

http://www.chow.com/food-news/55319/10-meads-you-should-try/

Which one's have you had?

I've only had the Nectar of the Hops from this list.
Cause, "Cake or death?" That's a pretty easy question.
Anyone could answer that.

"Eh, cake please."

Have had two (neither on the list); Honey Mead from Bunratty Castle, Limerick Ireland and from the Tower of London, England. Both are easy on the throat and hard on the brain cells...  :o
My life is loosely based on a true story...

Nighthawk

I buy local in order to support Colorado businesses! I drink mead from the Colorado Meadery!  8) But I wouldn't mind trying those others...

Nectar of the Hops is made in Boulder!  The only other Mead I've had is from Grand Junction (also not on the list).  Very awesome!  I can't remember the name of the winery.... It'll come to me....

I'm going to have to talk Rick into driving me across to GJ to get a case... Unless someone from GJ is coming for Rendevous.... and I can sweet talk them into bringing it!!

We have a place in Loveland and a place in Ft Collins that carry it. SO no need to travel all day to get a case. Tom and I keep a bottle in stock at ALL times of the Raspberry Chocolate Satin (formally velvet)

on there online store i saw 7 meadery of the rockies meads so you can see if they have what you want.

They seem a little biased towards the western shores. I prefer the Blackberry from Pirtle Winery near St. Louis. Order it when you can as it sells out very fast and not within 3 months of the Christmas holidays, they are certain to be sold completely out. Blackberry is slightly sweet, those who like dry, their standard mead is good as well. Raspberry is new, haven't tried that yet.

One of my favorite from Redstone Meadery is the special reserve cyser. Its a bit pricey but well worth the cost.
