The National Weather Service has issued Storm Warnings for North Texas and much of Oklahoma today as a HUGE swath of storms enter the area that will produce life theatening tornadoes, very large hail, high winds.

Those going to Scarby, you will be in the path of those storms. Please be safe and take care to heed the warnings. Your lives  and safety are more important than going to a Festival. For a festival can rebuild. A life is much tougher.

Nothing has started building up yet but there is a high possibility of us getting a repeat of the storms from a week ago. Keep alert and keep safe everyone, and please keep checking in.  :-\

Saturday's weather was great. Just windy enough to make the humidity bearable.

I agree....yesterday was absolutely wonderful.

Texas weather is always unpredictable. The day of the tornados here in DFW they had predicted a 20% chance of thunderstorms. So far it looks like Sunday's worst weather will go north of Scarborough. Keeping fingers, toes and eyes crossed that it does.....

Yesterday was comfortable! It is looking a bit gloomy here this AM. I hope everyone stays safe!

Up here in Minnesota, we are in store for some nasty weather that was in Iowa yesterday.

Well, I'm home after a full day at Scarby, and I'm pleased to report that while we did get a steady, but light rain starting right about cannon, it remained light and sort of went off and on until around 1, after which the sun chased off the clouds and left us with a beautiful, temperate day!

I'm thinking Sunday at Scarby was one of the most pleasant days there we've ever had.  The rain kept the lightweights away in the morning, so we had an uncrowded shire. The rain seemed to come in brief spurts, and after 10:05, it was never a hard rain.  Temperature stayed very comfortable all day, no little feat for Texas.

Saturday was beautiful in more ways than one.  The rain on Sunday didn't last long and by 1:00 pm  I was putting my cape back in the car and retrieving my hat and other accessories.  We are home safe and sound.  We hit spurts of rain in LA, MS and then again in AL.  but nothing like Sunday Morning.  GlaDos behaved herself, so we made it back with little problem except for one brief argument around Shreveport.  We won.

I think I came out ahead this weekend.  Lost one replica ladies mini Flintlock pistol that wasn't turned back into Lost and found and One earring.  Of course, I found the earring. (I made them so they didn't cost me anything) I acquired a new bodice and a new bag.

I hope everyone else had a safe trip home.
Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

Yes, many times the rain is good. We sat in the seating area by the Italian food place and chatted and entertained by the captain, Owen and a few others. You do not get that most days
