Someone mentioned this on Facebook. It's a social networking site for people interested in mainly Medieval and Renaissance themed events. The navigation is kind of confusing and the layout overly busy, but there seems to be over 500 people on it so it might be of use. http://travelingwithintheworld.ning.com/

It looks like mostly crafters and merchants? I did not go very deeply.

The owners seems to promote it to merchants as a form of networking and targeted advertising, but it seems to have quite a few individual members too. It reminds me a bit of http://www.renspace.com/ which seems to have died recently.

I personally could not get past all the navigational issues but thats just me Wish them great success at whatever their goal is.
