Audition Dates for the 8th Annual Fishers Renaissance Faire Announced

Fishers, IN, March 1st, 2011 –The Fishers Renaissance Faire announced today that it will hold an informational session and Cast Call-outs March 24th, 2012 for people interested in performing at the 8th annual Fishers Renaissance Faire.   The Fishers Renaissance Faire is seeking general volunteers for faire days assistance as well as costumed street characters to join the Tudor Phoenix Society, the Faire's premiere volunteer acting troupe for costumed Elizabethan Renaissance actors.   

Open auditions for potential new cast members is Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Hamilton East Public Library, 5 Municipal Way, just off 116th street near Town Hall in downtown Fishers, IN.   

Everyone interested in performing as a costumed cast member at the Fishers Renaissance Faire is welcome to audition.   However, performers under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times during the Faire by a parent or legal guardian.   Parents and legal guardians will be considered cast members and must follow the rules for the cast as laid out by the Cast Director.

The 8th Annual Fishers Renaissance Faire will be Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th, 2012 in Saxony Developments, near 131st street and Olio Rd, Fishers (IN), rain or shine.  This year's theme is the "Queen's Jubilee".

Persons with professional, semi-professional renfaire experience,  unique skill sets/talents (i.e. stilt walkers, jugglers, dancers, musicians) or theatrical experience interested in volunteer street performance or advance character placement at the 2012 Fishers Renaissance Faire should plan to audition on March 24th, please contact FRF Cast Director at nikkifiv@sbcglobal.net for an audition time.   Anyone not able to attend an audition should contact the cast director to schedule an audition appointment. Volunteer credit hours will be available for cast and general volunteers fulfilling volunteer requirements. We have a fun side event, Shakespeare in the Park, on August 11th, 2012, 9am-12n at Saxony Marketplace near the faire site (Off Olio rd. and 131st st. in Fishers). Sign up at March 24th cast call outs for new cast interested in joining our Shakespearean troupe.  The Troupe performs short scenes, skits, and sonnets, and more from Shakespeare's greatest works at the event in August. 

There are also sign ups at auditions for training with the stage combat fight team (18 and older), Madrigal choir(experienced singers), and the Dance Troupe.
