Well, I was offered a fantastic job following a few months of frantic job searching due to a boss I quite unaffectionally describe as "batshit crazy". I actually resigned in August and negotiated a transition agreement through Nov 30. Because I have bigger balls than they do and had them in a corner. It was quite liberating at the time but a wee bit stressful here lately as Nov 30 was looming!

However...it is in Ft Lauderdale, FL. So, we are moving!

I start 12/10, so I will be opening Casa de Ketterer, Floriday by then as Sidekick and the Prodigal Daughter are tasked with final wrap up of Casa de Ketterer, Texas.

Given that we have now received a stay of execution on the loss of income, we are headed to TRF over closing weekend.

We have every intention of keeping our FOF passes for Scarborough though, even if we can only make it once or twice in 2013. And hopefully we can make it to Sherwood at least once this Spring.

We'll definitely be having a party of some sort, soon. Details will be posted whenever we figure it out.

While sad we are moving away from lots of wonderful friends, we're very excited about this move. When we were first married, we moved 6 times in 6 years - and I don't mean across town! Sidekick was in the Navy at the time. Since we've moved to Texas, we've had 2 addresses and the last one for nearly 20 years... so we are looking forward to a new adventure in a new place to start off 2013!

I know that Nimue and I will miss you and Sidekick terribly, if you don't show up for some faires! With the new castle now under construction, I'm not certain just how much we'll be fairing ourselves over the next couple of years. But, we are still planning for opening Sherwood's fourth season, and being FoF attending opening weekend of Scarby. Hopefully, we'll see you kids one of those weekends!

Tell Sidekick to make sure he puts sunscreen on his legs...

I don't know whether to shout, laugh or cry. While I will truly miss both of you, I am thankful you found a job. We'll have to start celebrating on Black Friday on ROW 3!

Deal! And with an offer like that for Black Friday, maybe we can actually GET there before cannon! We are usually late - a 9 AM cannon just messes with us, LOL.

And trust me, we've had our fair share of laughing and crying...though luckily not the shouting!

You're going to have to break in a whole new Outback staff, assuming Ft Lauderdale has one.

I seriously doubt that Nim and I will be able to travel to your celebration in DFW. We're about traveled out. One last trip to Oklahoma today, and we're done. (I am being knighted tonight after the Boare's Heade Feaste at OkRF!)

I did sort of look at driving routes with a detour into Arkansas...if you and Nim might be so inclined.

And our Outback said they would call someone in Florida and give them a set of "care and feeding instruction" lol.

Detouring to Arkansas would take you WAY out of your way, unless you're just looking for an new view. If the house was finished, you'd be welcome to stay over!

You are lucky!  There are some great faires in Florida!  Not too far from Ft. Lauderdale in the Hollywood is TY Park, home of Camelot Days Medieval Faire.  Then in Deerfield Beach is the Florida Renaissance Festival.  A longer drive, about 5 or 6 hours maybe, is the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Tampa.  There are also faires in the Sarasota area and the Hoggetown faire.

I'm sure you will miss your friends and the great faires in TX, but you are moving to a place that has a lot of faires, so you won't be faire-deprived!

We will have to celebrate your fortune from our castle, as there is no way for us to participate in person. I will raise a glass of my favourite sour mash corn whiskey from south-central Tennessee, in Lynchburg, Moore County, which I will not name.  Our best hopes and good wishes shall go with you and Sidekick as you begin another chapter in your lives.
