I'll be there! I'll have the family in tow, I'm so excited I'm having trouble sleeping, now that it's getting close.

Thursday the High is only supposed to be 57. So if the front slows down a little we might be a little cooler for Saturday.

We (cowgrrl, myself & kids) plan on being there both days.  We should be there at least most of the day Saturday, and I'll be back early Sunday for drumming.  I'll be playing on the Ivanhoe stage for the Wings of Isis & Star Dancers belly dance show again this year.  Show times at 11:30, 1:30, 3, 4 & 5:30  :D

Ohh, I hope this is the case.  Cooler is almost always better with that many layers of fabric on.

I have some sleeves to finish up. But I think I can de done with those tonight.

That's sounding better and better . . . I know that by closing weekend it will probably be hot and muggy, but I, for one, would like to "ease in" to the heat.   As it is, last Sunday felt overwarm to me (because I'm a genius and wore dark jeans and a black shirt).

Yeah, Sunday felt a little warm for me as well, and I was in shorts and a light fabric T-shirt  But I am quite warm natured...  I'm REALLY not looking forward to the heat this summer is going to be bringing, especially since my hair and beard are MUCH longer this year!

Many times a warm April is followed by a cooler and wetter May, at least until May 15.

Very true!  Fingers crossed that this is the case this year . . .

You might be surprised, but the beard does NOT make you hotter, and having hair on the head is a blessing, coming from someone whose bald pate has suffered sunburn in the past...

I've found quite the opposite in my experience!  Lady's LOVE the beard!

OT, remind me this weekend to tell you about the conversation I had with a Brit musician friend and I about beards. It wouldn't be appreciated here by some.

So they changed it up a little, but still looks good. Sounds like a bit breezy, but that's not usually a terrible problem down in the village....

Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. South wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Sunday Partly sunny, with a high near 77. South wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Coy or Danielle would have to confirm, but that seemed like the biggest crowd I've seen for opening day! Sunday was busy, too!  Awesome weekend!

I believe you are right Merlin. I know I've never seen the FOF line that long on opening day. The weather was nice and the people came. The energy and magic were fantastic.

The PP, Fuzzlet and I had a blast on Saturday.  I think the fuzzlet had an absolute ball.  When she would be allowed to toddle about she couldn't help running where ever she went.  People called her a little princess with her pet sheep. :)

We had to leave a little early because the PP started to get ill, and the fuzzlet though fighting it was finally falling asleep.  No sooner than we put her in the car she was sound asleep.  ;D

The weather was fine until about 2 pm when the sun started to beat down.  The fuzzlet's cheeks got a little pink even with sun screen.  We hope to go back later in the season.

It really was a lovely weekend. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet a few people from the forum, and the weather was wonderful. Sadly we won't get another chance at Scarby this season, but we are hoping to make at least one day of Muskogee.
