I agree with the Tempura.  It is a great deal for the amount you get (enough to share!).  I like the fried cheese balls (I can't think of what they call them).  Corn on the cob is cheap (for a fest).
First Mate of the Portobello Rose.
I'm not the captain, I just dress better than he does.

My husband, son -- who came with us to faire for the first time in 3 years -- and I ate the portobello & cheese banger.  Even me, who doesn't eat meat!

It was really, really good.  Get it with everything on it.  In the vicinity of the Fountain Stage and the Town Square Pub, sort of near the entrance.  I think it's next to a garlic mushroom stand.

See?  SEE?  It's just that good!   ;D

Well, DB, I knew I was going to try them after reading about them, and when I told Steve what you said about them, he decided he had to have one, too.  Then Matt saw them and they looked good to him, too.  We decided that is one of the best foods we've eaten there.  Just think, we'll be there a total of 7 times this season, so I guess we'll eat a lot of brats!

Also, Matt bought some Veggie Tempura just before Jock Stewart and the Tinker's show, so Steve and I had a taste while watching the show.  Steve and I never eat fried stuff, but it was good.  Don't think we could eat a whole portion, though, but a 23 year old sure could!

CHEESE FRITTERS!!!!!

I also love the bangers and most of the stuff at the Bakery.  Their apple pie is to die for, and best a la mode.  Cheesecake on a stick also is amazing.

The Ice Cream crepes are amazinig! They're right next to the Tempura shop. If you have Bratts try the Italian sausage there too.

Yeah Wildthing, I know of the Bangers, I worked over at Wax hands and Managed Tails upon Tails, the bosses were "paticular" shall we say, about the bangers, heh. I was pointing out the Italian Sausge is great too.

There was one item I liked called a Cornish dog. It was polish sausage wrapped in a bread LIKE a corndog but it's not a corn dog.

Keep in mind I DREW the 1999 Bristol Travler's Mappe ALL 150+ building fronts, I know Bristol even with all the changes since I moved to Arkansas. I go to see my kids up there at X-Mas and also visit Bristol. :D
I know SEVERAL people at Bristol that are like family to me, which is why I'm building the 3D buildings too, one day I plan on having a 3D Bristol on Google earth that is if I can figure out how to cut down the polygons used in trees.

I sampled the cheese fritters. They were yummy. The iced cappachinos hit the spot.  Late in the day I enjoy one of the frozen sorbet fruits. They were down to only pineapple and coconut late on Sunday. The pineapple was good.

I really miss the mushrooms and eggs. My Bristol routine was scrapped last season after discovering the mushroom gazebo no longer offered the scrambled eggs and mushroom combo. It was a perfect way to start the day. I'd coffee up as usual while waking up and dressing and then head to gate, knowing I'd have protein waiting for me as I listened to the music and checked out the schedule for the day.

I must say that the beef stew in a bread bowl was extremely nummy. I'm usually very picky about the meat I eat and I ate all of it without a second thought.
