Heading to the fest for the first time this year tomorrow, Sunday Sept 1 and my flask is empty.
Any good suggestions?
I do like liqueurs and was into Amber but that has disappeared. Had some honey whiskey last year.

It all depends on what you like. A good liquor store will stock a ton of liquors and whiskeys that you can blend to taste. I like white tail pecan whiskey blended 50/50 with a good balanced bourbon like Sam Houston to cut the sweetness.  You can do the same thing with barenjager.  There apple and rose liqueurs and other more exotic choices. Berentzen makes a great apple schnapps.

Of course the best is a homemade infusion of fruit spices and liquor. Simply take a quart mason jar and fill (but dont pack full) with chunked apples, dates, or whatever you have.  Throw in a clove and part of a cinnamon stick and fill level full with everclear. Let it sit 6 months and you will have to beat the fairies off with a stick.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended getting some Drambui.
In the parking lot some fest goers offered some apple pie drink to me. It was very good.
I like the everclear make your own idea.
Sure was a nice day, yesterday sunday the 1st at the fest. Looking forward to a few more this year.

I drank waaaay  too much of the Apple Schnapps while staioned in Germany-The hangover left me with an aversion to that very delicious liqueur.

What you describe above with the fruit and spices; sounds very similar to what the the Germans call Rumtopf.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumtopf

Rumtopf is merely seasonal fruit, berries, spices, brown sugar placed in a crockery jar and filled with 151 rum.
After soaking a few weeks or months it's used as an (over 21)  dessert ; alone, or over ice cream or pancakes.  I've had it on cake.
