Rosemary in shampoo

I have heard from many sources that rosemary is a good stimulant to help your hair grow long, thicker, ect. and from what I read the best way to apply this stimulant is to combine rosemary oil with lavander oil and apply directly to hair. My question and the point of this thread is, if you were to make your own natural shampoo and put rosemary extract and lavander in it would it have the same affect?

it should yes, One thing that I do is make basically a good Strong tea, put it into a bottle and use it as a rinse.
