Lord William

Greetings and well met! We're partnering with the Florence/Lauderdale Public Library & Bluewater Publications to bring to you a very special event that you don't want to miss!

On Saturday, August 16, from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. there will be a book signing at the Florence/Lauderdale Public Library for the book entitled: "The Archer's Son". Here's a link for you see what it's about:

This is not going to be an ordinary book signing. Consider it almost like a mini-ren faire. Here's what you can expect:

1... The reigning Monarch of the Alabama Renaissance Faire, Angelia of Andalusia, Queen of Firenze will be on hand to officially recognize the author.

2... We will have many folk in period costume and encourage you to come in garb as well and join in the fun!

3... Her Majesty's royal mercenaries the Zholdak Kozaky will offer sword fighting demonstrations

4... Duke Nitewynd of Norwood will educate us on Johannes Gutenberg with a full display of working printing press items and the knowledge of how to use them.

5... We will dance! Short and simple dances that most anyone can do - something to help liven up the mood!

6... There will be a costume contest for folks... with the basics being: We'd like it to be period (of course) and we'd like it to be home made.

7... We're also offering a raffle for 2 tickets to this years Feast! If you've never been, here's a great chance to go!!

8... We'll have previous years t-shirts, posters, coins, etc... for sale so if you've missed a year you might find what you're looking for.

9... We're going to process around the block with her Majesty in honor of the book! Join in the fun and get the neighborhood talking when they see us marching along the sidewalk!

Let me apologize for not posting this sooner. "Sometimers" happens to me often... but maybe some of you might be able to make it to this special event! Hope to see you Saturday the 16th!
